i've just installed XP...and after taking a brief look at Firebird, i realised there are some things that really annoyed me about it...

so i've decided to stick to IE 6.0...except theres no popup blocker...so if any of you have suggestions as to a good one, i'm listening...i've already tried adshield...which i found less than pleasing

it dosen't have to be free or anything (though that would help)...just of really decent quality

erm...that installs a load of trash that i'll never need...it just makes IE a worse off version of Mozilla

i'm kinda looking for just a simple Popup Blocker...the less cluttered, da better

Actually, I'm switching between IE with adshield & just Crazy Browser. With the latter there are absolutely no pop-ups left. With the first, occasionally you'll have a pop-up (which you delete right away).. don't exactly see why you're not too pleased with it.

(I'm also using XP)

well for one they made a crippled version...and make you pay for a better one...which really pissed me off

and you have to manually update the block list...rather than them just detecting the popup...which won't work for certain popups...and gets plain annoying after a while

I've never used Crazy Browser before -- infact I've not even heard of it before this post -- but I can still tell you it is crap.

i got "ad popup killer" installed...its blocked everything it should so far, is inobtrusive, very lightweight...and all round pretty nice...despite a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE icon  Shocked

i only got it because it scored 100% on cnet...(only 7 people voted...but hey, not bad) and seemed to be what i was looking for...

if anyone's got a better suggestion...
