Finished it last night, at 3:03:03.

It's good. Not great. But as Ian Graham's first book it certainly shows promise.

Set in a relatively regular fantasy-mediƦval setting, people worship the Four (enlightened beings that guide the dead to heaven, or something along those lines), under the guidance of an extremely strict, non-charitable Church, who rule the entire land of Druine. They've outlawed magic and any knowledge/history that doesn't fit with what they want people to know.
The story follows Ballas, a thief & vagrant, who finds an interesting artefact and manages to set the Church against him.

Overall, I think it's an interesting read regardless of if you're a fan of fantasy books.

Seeker of Perfection, BPsite Sitelord.

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming
defiance with the last breath, to spit in the Sightblinder's eye on the Last Day.
