Finished it last night, at 3:03:03. :cool:
It's good. Not great. But as Ian Graham's first book it certainly shows promise.
Set in a relatively regular fantasy-mediæval setting, people worship the Four (enlightened beings that guide the dead to heaven, or something along those lines), under the guidance of an extremely strict, non-charitable Church, who rule the entire land of Druine. They've outlawed magic and any knowledge/history that doesn't fit with what they want people to know.
The story follows Ballas, a thief & vagrant, who finds an interesting artefact and manages to set the Church against him.
Overall, I think it's an interesting read regardless of if you're a fan of fantasy books.
