The reason is less important than the result.
Most CS cheats are exploiting the HL engine, which means they would work in FA also. Except having aimbots/etc doesn't help that much in FA, because of the way the game works and the decent community it has.

DoD is all bitty and WWII and ack.
CS is too easy and cheat-filled.
FA is a good fair challenge.

Oh. In that case possibly right.
CS has no real goals, everyone is allover and the maps are very non-linear.
DoD has set goals, but also has linear maps and very few alt. routes.
FA has set goals that help you win the match, but are not forced goals and the maps are still nice and non-linear.
Which is why FA is better - it has the good points from both and the bad point from neither.

Meh, DoD is old. I like weapons that don't get jammed or run out of ammo when you're flying at 20kph towards a guy with a bigger gun than you.  |

The guns dont jam...
and anyway CS gets lame after youve been headshoted without even seeing an enemy for the past 5 rounds, then the last two people running in opposite directions looking for eachother.
Its the annoying wait times that does it.

The guns dont jam Not very realistic then. I'm sure the guns /used/ to jam. FA doesn't have the wait times, and you can also change your weapons every death without having to worry about how much "money" you have, which is good. |

DOD guns jam somtimes but there are conditions wen they do like being in water or somthings happened to ur gun
as far as CS being lame [read earlia posts]

Not true. It takes time for mods to grow. CS never really got anywhere until around Beta5/6. FA has only been any good since 2.4, and FA has to fight against CS, which never had anything to fight against.
Here's a nice comparison I like:
CS = AOL
FA = NTL
AOL have been around in various forms since almost forever in Internet terms, and everyone uses it, but it sucks.
NTL is only a few years old and has less customers, but it offers a far superior service.
