And no, Mole, that's not a cue for you. (Does anyone recognise the reference, by the way?) Quite simply, if anyone encouters any such picture on their 'net related travels (or otherwise, if you've a camera or phone handy), post it here. Speaking of such things, in Basingstoke, I used to walk past one of those elderly people signs quite often. The humerous thing was that it was just outside a funeral parlour-type place.

got it I doubt it; it's part of a book title, which it's unlikely you'd have read.

Indeed. Have you read it, and if so what did you think? My copy was rather mangled by a rabbit, of all things, but it's still around somewhere...

Read it for English at secondary school, so - as is usually the case with such things - my enjoyment of it was very much dimmed by the ridiculous over-analysis of what the author might possibly have meant by using one particular wording over another.

I never had that problem, as I used to read far ahead of the rest of the class, which let me enjoy the book without having to worry about the analysis stuff. In fact, thinking about it, I viewed the analysis as a secondary activity to the reading... Oh well, it worked. :miffed:
Anyway.
