wow mole, it was huge. This Lacy Peterson woman disapeared for quite awhile and well....obviously nobody could find her. I'm not sure how long it was anymore but they found her body in some river, dammit i can't remember which one...but uhhh I thought she was pregnant but then how would the baby already have a name? I dono, i'm sure someone here knows more about or could find you an article to read if you really care, i'm just too lazy.
And good thing about his conviction, the bastard.

Don't feel bad mole... I have no clue too. Meh, if he was guilty, he got what he deserved. Though the way people are carrying on, I have a feeling he really did kill the girl.

They have her body, and the body of her son. Both of which washed up within a few miles of where Scott said he went 'fishing' on the day that she disappeared.
As for confession, I seem to remember (I could be confusing this with another case, but I don't think so) that they nabbed him as he was on his way to Mexico, his car full of camping equipment, food, etc.
That speaks volumes, even if Scott Peterson denies his guilt.
Also, he was trying to seduce his girlfriend (yes, he was screwing around while married) while the search for his wife was going on. Hmmm... it's almost as if he knew they wouldn't find her.

They made a big deal about it. There's like an E! Hollywood True Story about Lacy Peterson.

The evidences that were put up against Scott Peterson were all circumstancial. And any incriminating confessions were a result of help by Scott's lover, I believe...
And I thought they found either only the torso of Laci Peterson, or the body without the head... Oh well.
In either case, it was interesting, since without finding the actual weapon or the like(not found), there's plenty of room for doubt(yet, they unanimously gave the go).... and in a "court of justice", the jury is not to convict with even a hint of reasonable doubt, especially when the matter can possibly involve a death sentence. (not that I'm saying that he's innocent or guilty...that's been decided already by the court. It's just that it's interesting. )

This case has been too publicized. Scott Peterson is most likely guilty of actually doing the crime, but there isn't enough evidence to make a sure statement about that.
