Nothing special. Not really worth paying to see. Standard hollywood interpretation* of an old story.
(*as usual, the storyline has been completely screwed about with, more than likely to make it simpler for stupid people. The original seems far superior, from what I've read.)
Unless you really want to see lots of spears, swords & shields fighting then I'd say don't bother.

Isnt that what you go to the cinema for? Fight scenes? Well, yeah, but there's nothing really fancy about these fight scences. Well, Achilles' ones were okay, but not that great... I could've beaten him.  Frag, I often like films that others don't, and I don't dislike Troy, but it's definitely nothing special. |

doesnt hold anything over me, looks cheesier than a german in spandex. i thought the paper summed it up best (i havent seen the film) Troiype. Lead actor Brad Pitt is best suited to play the wooden horse |

I'll rent it when it comes out. I've only heard that Orlando Bloom is in it, and that's why people are going to see it. Besides going to see a movie costs a lot.
