As you may know, I'm stuck with Windows XP. whenever i save pictures into a folder, this weird thumbs file thingy is there. every time. its starting to piss me off! so ....wtf?

What is the folder view setting? Are you talking about this thumbnail in the folder or at the bottom of the screen?

It's a [usually] hidden file that stores thumbnail information so that you can view all the images in a folder at once.
Turn it on/off by Tools Menu>Options>View Tab and toggle "Do not cache thumnails" as appropriate.

heh, im a techie and half the "features" it has piss me off, and I have to go disable em I must say though, its pretty damn stable.

Erm, what's wrong with Windows XP? Unless you're a techie, there isn't really anything better for general use. eh, nothing really. i just say that so nobody gets ticked off...i don't mind xp really :rolleyes:

ok im just wondering. i have XP as well and it seems as if whenever i go to standby- i lose my wireless connection <_< . is this just me and is there anytway to prevent it (maybe not go standby?)

on the topic of WinME... a screenshot of a japanese WinME, but you can understand the important parts... i think the guy was advised by other people to reinstall WinME, or to just buy a new comp... altho my reaction when i first saw it was, how could it report as 0 when obviously something is in the memory and something is keeping the comp running...
