Actually, I think the whole problem lay in that the Lakers were a bit overconfident. They had all the big players, Bryant, O'neal, Payton, and Malone, not to mention Fox, Fisher, and George. Basically, they had all the big guns (plus a 9-time champion coach who's never lost a playoff series). The all-offense Lakers didn't have anything to resort to when Kobe got muffled, Shaq got pressed out, and everyone else with no where to go. The Lakers don't play defense, and they never had played defense during the season. They blasted everyone out (including the Spurs) because those teams didn't play defense either. Jackson still goes to his big guns to hope that they can do enough damage to get through the series. Unfortunately, he just didn't have a backup plan. So now we're waiting to see where Payton and Malone will go, same with Kobe and Shaq.

i saw the last game and it was....just sad to be honest....

the lakers have no outside game. they need some distance shooters if they want to go up against a heavy duty defense team like the pistons. While it was funny to see how completely helpless they were, it was sad...just sad...

poor phil...i liked him when he coached the bulls...he's gotta feel really bad right now...if he won this championship he would have the most championships of any coach

im glad. i hate the lakers cause they alwayas win. theyre like the yankees of basketball, but we can root for the yankees cuz NY has no othre sports teams Wink
