I never use the word flapjack--i just say pancake--but flapjacks definitely refers to pancakes. anyone who says otherwise is dumb.  Smiley

Actually, putting a piece of butter on a pancake, then pouring maple syrup on it is reeeeally good.  Wink

flapjacks are flapjacks.

another way of saying pancakes.

cook em long enough and they'll crisp into cookies.

EDIT:

Flapjacks are country-folk hickies.
Interestingly enough, a Canadian site XD

Flapjacks are cake-types, further reinforcing the idea that it's a panCAKE.
