I've been playing with IPB2, the first public release of which is out.
It's only on my local machine though; I'm not putting it on this server until I know it's stable enough.
It's got some excellent new features, for example, here are poll settings:
- Polls can have as many options as the admin likes (defaults to 20).
- You can allow viewing of poll results without losing votes. (finally!)
- You can add polls to existing discussions (if done within X/24 hours).
- You can prevent people from posting no-reply polls.
Here are some other cool settings & stuff:
- Prevent long unbroken words which distort tables. (So ya can't break things, Rug.
)
- Fast reply box (but without the ugliness of other forums; it defaults to hidden).
- Warnings are finally implemented properly.
- You can ban, or just stop posting, for X days.
- You can add custom profile fields.
- You can add your own tags (So I wont need to hack the source for the [spoiler] tags)
