Yes, he did it voluntarily, but who was it that did the act of killing Jesus? the Romans that put him up on the stake.
In either case, life IS valuable, and those that put Jesus to death are responsible and at fault, not Jesus himself.
But if we went by your logic, SS, all martyrs would be in hell, almost all the 1st century Christians that died in Roman amphitheaters died in vain, etc...
And anyone putting themselves at risk by doing humanitarian aid in civil war areas in modern age and dying are going to hell...

meh, i think that's going overboard, just because your risking your life doesn't mean you were planning on dying. it just means that your willing to take that risk for a purpose.

It wasn't really taking a risk. he knew he was going to. he didn't have to, and he was even scared to but he decided that he was going to because he knew thats what was needed.

Nuh-uh. My theory is that suicide (or voluntary death, if you prefer) doesn't send you to Hell, because Jesus aint with Satan.  Which also means that I agree that martyrs/etc are not in Hell. |
