In the Roleplaying forum there is a new RP starting up, called "The Royal Chesnut".
It's fantasy-mediƦval. No magic/elves/etc, just regular humans.

If you would like to join go read the first two posts in the thread - the first telling you what's what and the second setting the scene - then decide on a character that you would like to play and PM me the appropriate details (background + attributes + description). When I've okayed your character, you are free to start RPing.

If you have any questions, ask them in this thread or in a PM. Avoid posting out of character (OC) in the RP thread.

So, any questions? Smiley

May I make a request;

All RP should be in the PRESENT tense.[/size]

This is to prevent people getting thoroughly confused by tenses changing.

Thankyou...

LOL I think even ShadowHawk heard that! Wink

Makes sense though, put it in present tense and it sounds much better.

For those not knowing the difference between the tenses:
Present = John finishes his sandwich and stands up.
Future = John is going to eat his sandwich then he will stand up.

Notice how the second one sound cack? Good. Don't use it.

I would normally request the past tense, but that would make you re-write your intro Tongue.

Yes it originally said Past... then I read your Intro, and that aint past. Seeing as I'm nice, we can agree on present. So long as it aint future, its fine.

Also, I'll PM you some notes about running combats etc, if you so desire them.

Descriptions are descriptions. They're tense-less?

A template would help alot, also things like average age, what counts as young and old.....

What colours of hair, eyes and skin count as normal...

Age would be very helpful so I can work out whether my character is far too old and should have died about 20years ago...

what you said about tenses.
is saying "--- got up from behind the chair he'd ducked behind when the starnger walked in" a bad use of tense, i know this could be used for powergaming too, but its not meant like that

Well lets set old age at around 60? Up until that people are relatively athletic, but (depending on the person) they start going frail after that point?

That's past tense, and doing several things at once.
Make it present tense and avoid doing too much in one go and it should be fine.
