oh that was so fun. i love the whole japanese culture in it. fight scenes are great blood everywhere, nice blades.
isnt really much as a love story as its portrayed to be though.
theres only 2/3 points in the film i didnt like and that was cus they used some horrible camera lense or touched it up on a computer, but other than that you must see this film

The Last Samurai is a very good film by todays standards, granted...
But for Samurai films... it doesnt cut it. Kill Bill is superior from todays choices, and Seven Samurai, Yojimbo and Throne of Blood (Which is Macbeth adapted into 16th century Japan...), are all far, far better.

kill bill doesnt really look all that good. over here, the previews for it look like it's one of those movies with basically no plot and they're just trying to link together fight scenes

The Last Samurai and Kill Bill were great movies. After watching Kill Bill brutal violence just doesn't phase you anymore. I can be walking down the street with my friend, and if a ninja jumped out of a bush and cut his head off I'd probably start laughing because of Kill Bill. It was just insane.
