anyone that reads fantasy books should know that orcs and dark elves aren't the same. Tolkin made it so that the orcs were breed from elves, in mockery of elves. But there are also dark elves according to other authers (I really don’t think Tolkin also made the Underdark, but I could be wrong). To tell you the true I don't know the exact start of the dark elves, also known as the Drow; but it was the greatest battles that pitched elf against elf, a battle of religion and pride. In the end, those that lost and somehow survived were driven deep underground, into the Underdark. There is were the drow (dark elves) came to live, and for their bitter souls fester (if they had any) (I really liked the trilady of trilogies of Drizt) No it says they're dumb mutated elves :rolleyes: |

Orc=mutated elves that are no longer what they once were and only know evil and cannot know good. Dark elf=elf or decendent of elf who never went to valinor (originally, that is) and stayed in middle earth. At least according to Tolkein. Trust me. I am a Lord of the Rings FREAK!!! I've even read through all of the silmarillion. more than once. plus the middle earth series (12 volumes ) Which really shows that I have no life, much like the rest of this board.  |
