lol pete, firearms is not the future. i tried firearms before i started play cs, and i really really liked it at first, but now im over it. anywho...
i play counter-strike pretty much everyday, i love the game. the fact that the half-life engine is getting a bit old and outdated doesnt mean shit, its still one of the best engines out there. ive tried most of the other mod's of HL, and personally nothing comes even close to cs. the aim, structure and overall idea of the whole game is bloody brilliant, and its by far the most addictive game i ever played (besides pacman, lemmings and elastomania...)
i play competition counter-strike most of the time, i work at a LAN center so i'm usually running the competitions there, but at the big money comps, eg. state comps, me and the other 4 of my team usually play.
anywho...i love cs, just thought i'd let you all know..

i tried firearms before i started play cs Hmmm, that would suggest you played it in version 2.4 or something, when it was a completely different game to what it is now, and when CS was pre-1.3 and actually any good. Now CS is 1.5 and FA is 2.7, it really is so much better... I've yet to hear of someone turn back to CS after playing FA 2.6 or 2.7.  |

Hmmm, do you work for Valve, or did you lose half your brain in an accident? :hehe: If you do try FA, give it more than a single session... if I'd have started on eg:Durandal I might have given up straight away... 99% of people camp and snipe on that map, which can be annoying. If you like sneakiness Willow is a good map, if you like deathmatch, Iwo is the king, and my favourite Push map is Crash. |
