ne1 wants a brief history bout the word yankees? it was used to flame dutch people (the dutch found New York, formally known as New Amsterdam) Jan is a common dutch name (in the time almost every dutch boy was called Jan) and the dutch are famous fore their cheese (they still call us cheeseheads), so the natives and the english called the dutch Jan-cheese, which lead to Yankees

Well.....all my plans for the "yankee's world series" may be more interesting now that they lost to the marlins. How about the new marlin/yankee rivalry hehe. Shutting out the yankee's in the world series to win it must really have a huge impact on the yankee's players also.
