Kinda ironic that you said you'd wet the bed...  LOL

Oh, sorry... yeah you'll be fine.  One kidney will serve you adequitely for the rest of your life, and since  kidneys are in the lower part of your abdomen, the risks involved in surgery are very small (unless you have a surgeon who can't tell the difference between a kidney and lung)!  Nothing to get worried about.  Wink

BTW- just a question- why are you having the kidney removed instead of just leaving it?  :miffed:

Just in case...If it gets infected or something later i'll be some old guy with less of a recovery rate Wink  this way i'm expected to bounce back quickly. Should be a 2-3 day hospital stay, maybe 4, maybe 1...depends

but was it an adventure...i've been poked and prodded in just about every place possible....not fun, missed quite the bit of school to be violated. woohoo

as long as you don't play football or lacross or hockey, you'll be able to function normally

read this gruesome account of a racers ordeal after a bike crash, they couldnt stitch his stomach properly so he had to have a steryle open wound for 3 weeks while they waited for the rest of his skin to regenerate so they could graft it.
