I'm somewhere between "Not that keen on it." and "Hate it!" - I could probably force it down with some toast if I had to, but I'd really rather not.

Marmite is dark brown-colored savory spread made from the yeast that is a by-product of the brewing industry. It has a very strong, slightly salty flavor. It is definitely a love-it-or-hate-it type of food.
It comes in small (2-5 inches high) bulb-shaped glass jars with a distinctive yellow lid.

Quote
The most common use is as a spread on toast or in sandwiches. Note: it is generally spread very thinly because of its strong flavor—don't use it like jam. It has drug-like qualities; the more you eat, the thicker you need to spread it to get the same mouth-burning effect. Some people have even called it addictive.

Quote
It is produced in the UK at Burton-on-Trent by CPC (UK) Ltd, Esher, Surrey, and this is the original that you should try and seek out.

Quote
Marmite is approved by the Vegetarian Society.

What are Vegemite, Promite, Bovril and Yeast Extract?

Answer: They are not Marmite in any way or form.

Quote
Vegemite is an Australian product, manufactured by Kraft Foods Ltd, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and is generally described by Marmite fans as a weaker version spread than British-produced Marmite—I can personally back this statement up.

Google fuckin' makes you it's bitch and bends you over a table. Eat that, poorly educated Americans!

Ye Gods, but how can you not have heard of Marmite?  You couldn't escape it in the last millenium; it was one of the most successful advertising campaigns ever made.

Surely it's been exported? *Starts searching*

Hornet keep in mind where're Americans.  If you set your expectations that high you're bound to be disappointed.  Start out with something small like you expect us all to inhale at least 7 times in the next 24 hours.  If that works out than you can move us onto more complex tasks.

Um... I'd love to, except it isn't sold anywhere near me.  Besides, it looks kinda wrong...

Fire- I managed to inhale 7 times in a couple of minutes... do I get a prize for being so quick?  Cheesy
