hm perhaps he was too long away, coz the account can go max 10 days(i think) in the vacation mode, and if it is to inactive iut gets deleted or so? :unsure:

for the first three days you cant log into your account in vacation mode. and after that when you log in it takes you out of vacation mode. and it does take you out of your clan for the time you are on avacation but as soon as you log back in you are back in your clan.
