A few more...

Quote
I'm alive again
The darkness far behind me
I'm invincible
Despair will never find me

I feel strong
I've got a new sense of elation
Boundless energy
Euphoria fixation

Still it's hard to just get by
It seems so meaningless to try
When all I want to do is cry
Who would ever know I felt so sad

Even though I get so high
I know that I will never fly
And when I fall out of the sky
Who'll be standing by

Will you be standing by

Quote
Downtown I walk
Through New York City so hot
The summer swelter melting
Got things on my mind right now
In the alleys that I take
They just don't give up an inch
I turned and saw it all
I watched him fall
I tried to catch him
But they knocked me out cold too
"Babylon" he cried
The cost in flesh and blood is rising high

Things are falling apart it all seems
Bleeding in the gutter
The waste of random acts of violence
Where's the Savior to resuce our dreams?
Desperation's crawling
We're victims of a world that's gone so wrong?

Hours later when I woke
I was lying in some darkened basement rescue mission
They're tending to my needs and wounds
They were such a sorry lot
The very bottom of the social ladder
I just caught myself before I cried
They've nothing at all
But they're the only ones there to help

Eden's sin's alive
Stalking me
Stalking everyone

Things are falling apart it all seems
Tears that speak in volumes
The eyes of all these hopeless people
Where's the Savior to rescue our dreams?
Desperation's crawling
On victims of a power hungry world!

Quote
Silent screaming, you're on your own
Balancing on a blade
Between what's right and what is wrong
Don't loose your faith, don't sit there in silence
Show your strength, let's hail the metal Gods,
Bare your heart

All for one, our burning hearts will live forever
One for all, together standing strong

Hammerfall - we will prevail
Hammerfall - let us hail

Hammerfall - we will prevail
Hammerfall - let us hail

We share a dread, the future is ours
A Metal Heart is hard to tear apart, heed the call
A flash of light calls out the providers
We run this race, but we will never crawl, all hail
Hammerfall

All fro one, our burning hearts will live forever
One for all, together standing strong

Hammerfall - we will prevail
Hammerfall - let us hail
Hammerfall - we will prevail
Hammerfall - let us hail

Just follow your heart, don't listen to the crowd
The wisdom, the voice is calling from inside
The time long forgotten will soon come again
Prepare for the meeting, the Gods of Metal reign

Rage Against The Machine
Darkness Of Greed

Quote
Greed!
Causing innocent blood to flow
Entire culture, lost in the overthrow
They came to seize and take whatever they please
Then all they gave back was death and disease
My people were left with no choice but to decide
To conform to a system, responsible for genocide
Responsible for genocide
Responsible for genocide...

Spoken:
'AIDS is killing the entire African nation
And a vaccine is still supposedly under preparation
But these governments they don't mind the procrastination
They say "We'll kill them off, take their land and go there for vacation."'

My people's culture was strong, it was pure
And if not for that white greed
It would've endured
My people were left with no choice but to decide
To conform to a system
Their minds enslaved
Their souls encaged
I feel the rage
It's brutality can never be undone
But the sun is not yet set
The bass and drums and microphones a threat
That's when ya investigate the crimes from the inside
And see that they're responsible for genocide
Responsible for genocide
Responsible for genocide...

Ya cram ya culture down my throat
Say I'm inferior when I find that I choke
Ya fill my mind with a false sense of history
And then you wonder why I have no identity?
Well I'll strike a match and it'll catch and
Spread the insight we need
A tiny fire, burning bright
Shedding light on the darkness of greed

A yes yes y'all
And ya don't stop
Shedding light on the darkness of greed

A yes yes y'all
And ya don't stop
Shedding light on the darkness of greed

Yup. Who's Ben?

That would be my brother. The person most of these CDs come from (Emperor, Nile, Death, Carcass...)

Morbid Angel - Dominate

Weak aside - no place for those our struggle
Leaves behind
Our Lord won't tolerate those whom through
Attrition fall

We must dominate!

With iron through our veins and a will made so elite
Hunting for our daily bread and the sinister close in sight
Hunger always drives the beast and the women fall prey.

Leading all the wonders to certain fate
Another victim reviled
I'm staring at you through the eyes of the wolf
Tell me who is going to save you now!

Animal senses ever alert
Praise be to the father-war
As a servant I am serving myself and I bathe in anticipation
Unless you taste it you could never know
All the power our Lord bestows
With a bow and a kiss profane
Be a victor or be a victim.

That's a fair point.

Some of my favourite songs don't even have lyrics, examples: Linkin Park - Session; The Corrs - Rebel Heart.
Others have rather odd/pointless lyrics, especially dance tracks, eg: Gouryella - Gouryella.
And then still more are in languages that few people here understand.

Tongue
u listen to dance? nice :thumbs-up:

altho it's nothing compared to happy-hardcore Tongue

I listen to almost everything. Tongue

Quote
I try to breathe
Memories overtaking me
I try to face them but
The thought is too much to conceive

I only know that I can change
Everything else just stays the same
So now I step out of the darkness
that my life became 'cause

I just needed someone to talk to
You were just to busy with yourself
You were never there for me
To express how I felt
I just stuffed it down
Now I'm older and I feel like
I could let some of this anger fade
But it seems the surface I am scratching
Is the bed that I have made

So where were you?
When all this I was going through
You never took the time
To ask me just what you could do

I only know that I can change
Everything else just stays the same
So now I step out of the darkness
that my life became 'cause

I just needed someone to talk to
You were just to busy with yourself
You were never there for me
To express how I felt
I just stuffed it down
Now I'm older and I feel like
I could let some of this anger fade
But it seems the surface I am scratching
Is the bed that I have made

I never meant to fade...
Away

I NEVER MEANT TO FADE

I just needed someone to talk to
You were just to busy with yourself
You were never there for me
To express how I felt
I just stuffed it down
Now I'm older and I feel like
I could let some of this anger fade
But it seems the surface I am scratching
Is the bed that I have made

I try to breathe...

this is as sont i like and i think fire might like the lyrics...

Scooter - Rebel Yell
-

In the midnight hour!!!

Last night my little dancer, came dancing to my door
Last night my little angel, came pumping on the floor
She said, 'oh come on baby! I got a license for love!
...and if it expires, PRAY HELP FROM ABOVE!!!'..because,
In the midnight hour, she cried more! more! more!
With a rebel yell, she cried More! More! More!...Wow!
In the midnight hour babe...More! More! More!
With a rebel yell! More! More! More!...More, more, more!
She don't like slavery...she won't sit and beg.
But when I'm tired and lonely, she sees me to bed.
What set you free, and brought you to me, babe?
What set you free!? I need you here by me...because
In the midnight hour, she cried More! More! More!
With a rebel yell, she cried more! more! more!...Wow!
In the midnight hour babe! More! More! More!
With a rebel yell...More! More! More!...More, more, more!
I'll walk the ward, for you babe...
A thousand miles for you...

I'd dry your tears, of pain...
A million times, for you...
I'd sell my soul, for you babe...
For money to burn, for you...
I'd give you all...and have none babe!
Justa...Justa...Justa...Justa, to have you here by me! Because
In the midnight hour, she cried More! More! More!
With a rebel yell, she cried More! More! More!...Wow!
In the midnight hour babe! More! More! More!
With a rebel yell! She cried, More! More! More!...More, more, more!
Oh yeah, little baby!

She wants more!
More! More! More! More! More!
Oh yeah, little angel!
She wants more!
More! More! More! More! More!

"Happy-hardcore"? I appear to gravitate towards the darker side of Hardcore... subtitled 'Grindcore'... because these bands wouldnt know a melody if it kicked them in the nuts. Carcass and Gorerotted are good examples.

Killswitch Engage - Rise Inside

Rise... inside,
free your mind,
raise your fist!
to signify,
we stand,
in defiance of hatred and deception,
if i stand alone i will fight for you,
the time has come to make a difference,
why have we forsaken love,
the time has come to raise our voices,
so rise up and fight with me,
embrace what we have,
it might be the last time in this life we will rise,
if we find the strength to unify,
hatred is a weakness, you become the victim,
I believe love will overcome,
time has come to make a difference,
why have we forsaken one another,

Quote
I.It's Raining

Under the sun, there is nothing to hide
Under the moon, the stranger waits inside
People disappear
The music fades away
Splashing through the rain
I'll dream with them one day

It's raining, raining,
On the streets of New York City
It's raining, raining, raining deep in heaven

I may have wasted all those years
They're not worth their time in tears
I may have spent too long in darkness
In the warmth of my fears

Take a look at yourself
Not at anyone else
And tell me what you see
I know the air is cold
I know the streets are cruel
But I'll enjoy the ride today

It's raining, raining,
On the streets of New York City
It's raining, raining, raining deep in heaven

I may have wasted all those years
They're not worth their time in tears
I may have spent too long in darkness
In the warmth of my fears

As I walks through all my myths
Rising and sinking like the waves
With my thoughts wrapped around me
Through a trial of tears

Hidden by disguise, stumbling in a world
Feeling uninspired, he gets into his car
Not within his eyes to see, open up, open up
Not much better than the man you hate

II. Deep In Heaven
(Instrumental)

III. The Wasteland

Still awake
I continue to move along
Cultivating my own nonsense
Welcome to the wasteland
Where you'll find ashes, nothing but ashes
Still awake
Bringing change, bringing movement,
Bringing life
A silent prayer thrown away
Disappearing in the air
Rising, sinking, Raining deep inside me
Nowhere to turn,
I look for a way back home

It's raining, raining, raining deep in heaven

Multi part songs eh?

Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines

i. Hall of Saurian Entombment

Through Subterranean Labyrinths of Catacombs
We Hath Crawled To Gather in this Dimly Lit
Hall Of Colossal Proportion
Which Few Ever See
Along Black Walls
Rise Tier after Tier of Carven Painted Sacrophagi
Each Standing in a Niche in the Stone
The Mounted Tiers Rising Up
To Be Lost in the Gloom Above
Thousands of Carven Masks
Stare Down Upon Us
We Who are Rendered Futile and Insignificant
By This Vast Array of the Dead

ii. Invocation to Seditious Heresy

And Here I Stand
I who would be master of the Black Earth
Have summoned you here secretly
You who are faithful to me
To share in the Black Kingdom that shall nr
Tonight we shall witness
The breaking of the chains which Enslave us
And the birth of a Dark Empire

Who am I to know what powers lurk and and Dream
in these murky Tombs
They hold secrets forgotten for three thousand years
But I shall Learn They shall teach me
See how they sleep staring through their
Carven Masks
Priests Monks Acolytes Kheri Heb Rekbi Khet
The Mummified Remains of the Sacrificial Whores
of The Cannibalistic Serpent Cult s of Thirty
Centuries With Black Incantation and Foul
Necromantic Art
Propitiated with the Blood of the Living
We will waken them from their long Slumber
The Ancients knew Nay Commanded the
Words of Power
And shall teach them to Me
I shall restore them to Life
To Labour for my own Dark Imperial Desires
I will Waken Them Will Rouse Them
Will learn their forgotten Wisdom
The knowledge locked in those withered Skulls
By the Lore of The Dead
We shall Enslave the Living
Pharaohs and Priests long Forgotten
Shall be our Warriors and Slaves
Who will Dare to Oppose Us
Out of the Dust shall Avaris Rise

iii. Destruction of the Temple of the Enemies of Ra

Foul Enemies of Ra who have Rebelled
Malicious Fiends
Spawn of Inertness Impotent Rebels
Nameless Filth
For whom Blazing Pits of Fire have been prepared
By the Command of Ra
Down Upon your Faces
You are overthrown
Your Skulls are Crushed in
You are Destroyed Annihilated
Gashed with Flints Your Windpipes Cut
The Joints of your Backs are Rent Apart

The Fire of the Eye of Horus is Upon You
Searching You Consuming You
Setting you on Fire Burning you To Ashes

Unemi The Devouring Flame Consumes You
Sekhmet The Blasting Immolation of the Desert
Maketh an End of You
Xul ur
Adjugeth you to Destruction
Flame Fire Conflagration Pulverize You

Your Souls Shades Bodies and Lives
Shall Never Rise Up Again
Your Heads Shall Never Rejoin your Bodies
Even The Words of Power
Of The God Thoth
The Lord of Spells
Shall Never Enable you to Rise Again

iv. Ruins

I knew they were Accursed
so remote were these nameless desert ruins
Crumbling and inarticulate the debris of
its collapsed walls was
Nearly hidden by the sands of the uncounted ages
It must have been thus before the first stones of
Memphis were laid
And the bricks of Babylon unbaked
Fear spoke from the age worn stones
This desolate survivor of the Deluge
This crumbling antidiluvial ancestor
Of the Eldest Pyramid

Only the grim brooding desert Gods
Knew what really took place here
What indescribable struggles and bloodshed
Awoke some distant throng of condemned spirits
And broke the tomblike silence of these crumbled
Time ravaged remains these night black ruins
Of some vanguished and buried Temple of Belial

But as the Night wind diad away
Above the desert rim rose the
Blazing edge of the morning sun
Which in my fevered state
I swore that from some remote depth there came a
Great crash of metal
Like a great Bronze gate
Clanging shut whose reverberations swelled out
To hail the rising Sun as Memnon hails in
From the banks of the Nile

ok the impresions of you are getting better
Good good. Like I said above, I listen to lots of music, but for random reasons I only ever seem to mention the 'bad' stuff. Tongue

Quote
You fell to the ground like rain
On deaf ears your cries met hands And knees were blistered
Shouting from the tallest tree
You declared wrong
But they never listen
There’s safety in numbers
This cold-hearted world!
The Coldest Winter...
You don’t see me like I know you
Hiding behind glass
So sickened by grief
You can’t let them win
They’ll have you
Playing life makes death so good
This cold-hearted world!
The Coldest Winter...
You don’t know, And you never will!

Pffft, Death or Black Metal is better for that: Mithras - Worlds Beyond the Veil clocks in at 412bpm in places, with an average of 336, the end sections of Mithras - Portal to the... is a 340bpm blast, and Enslaved - As Fire Swept Clean the Earth hits 380 on the solos...
