got myself a new cell phone, wanna get some mp3s on there...anybody wanna host a few for me? for a little little bit

As long as you as you solemnly swear that you are up to no good own the MP3's in question, that's fine.  My e-mail addresses are rather predictable if you know my full screen name; The Silver Hornet.  I happen to use Gmail, among others, so that's probably your best bet to send them to.

There are such things as free hosts though, you know... although most are a bit funny about hosting MP3s, to be fair.

Most check the MIME types too, or only allow certain file extensions - and trying to save an MP3 that's been renamed to a JPG really isn't going to work.

change the MIME too  :-P
use a little program that saves and changes the MIME and file extension then have the other person use the counterpart of that program to restore the correct data

that is a great place for sending ringtones to your phone for free, if you have internet on your cell
