Is a great game... I think.

I got it at the weekend and it runs awfully slow on my system - even at 640x480 with everything on low quality it's not really playable; but enough to tell me that it should live up to the hype I've heard about it.
(Once I get my MBP up and running, the 256MB Radeon X1600 and DDR2/5300 RAM should fare far better than my measly 128MB GeForce FX5200 and DDR/3200.)

So, anyone else here played Oblivion and got any thoughts?

Oblivion plays beautifully on my MacBook, with most of the settings on top/high quality. Cheesy

And it is a good game.

I do have one complaint - you can't do anything (fight, cast spells, etc) when riding horses - so if you're riding along and a wolf starts chasing you, your only real option is to stop, climb down, kill it, climb up, and start riding again.
Why can't they have a Mount&Blade style mounted combat system? Sad

Here, have a picture of my character trying on some trousers...

SS, your character looks a bit like Keanu Reeves.

I have Morrowind, although I haven't played it much yet. Does anyone else here have it?

DO work as a games tester, so the hideous abominations that were Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (which, in the pre-patch out of the box version, cannot be completed without cheats) and Knights of the Old Republic 2 (which was just mind-destroyingly annoying with all it's bugs) never happen again.

Of course, these were both Atari games. Maybe their portakabin is especially smelly?

Is that a good or a bad thing?
