Resize that baby... edit the image in MS paint and do this: select all (ctrl+a), move the image into the upper left-hand corner, and then go to the lower right hand corner and find the little drag-box-thingy there. Drag that until all the white space is gone. Save, and rehost.

I think it's small images save smaller as PNG and otherwise it's jpg... I think... The simple rule is: photo = JPG cartoon/screenshot = PNG The more advanced rule is: If it's more than 256 continuous colours (and no transparency), save as 24-bit JPG - maximum of 1/3rd compression (ie: 70% quality or greater). If it's 256 colours or less (and single-colour transparency), save as 8-bit PNG. Otherwise save as 24-bit PNG. If in doubt, experiment and use whichever is best. |
