Heh, I set my cell phone to military time... it's easy to get used to (yet I still once forgot that 13:15 was not the same as 3:15 PM).

Why the fuck do you call the 24-hour clock (the accepted standard for telling the time) 'military time' ?!

Why the fuck do you call the 24-hour clock (the accepted standard for telling the time) 'military time' ?! Because in the States it’s not the standard, and it’s called 'military time' because that’s what the US military uses. Otherwise it’s a personal preference sort of thing...

We are Americans, we use AM and PM, military time is for the US military, not us really messed up citizens.

they do really wierd stuff on the continent apparently their date tags are ss:mm:hh:dd:mm:yy all in one go like that seperated by : we arent meant to use . s because its the standard symbol for times (x) thus most of the world uses , s for decimal points...kinda defeats the purpose of it being a point dont you think? the decimal jerk would be better

No idea what mole just said, so I will just take a guess.
Time - Hour:Minnute:Second, yes seperated by colons.
Dates - Month Day, Year, yes comma between day and year.
For money and such, its $3.50. Decimal point to show the seperation of dollars and cents.
Not many people, at least from what I have seen, put the time and date all together like mole showed.

We have tried to make our government change it so that we are like the rest of the world, but that has failed every time.
Which brings me to my next point, ever heard of B.C.E. and C.E? Well, it's the new "politically correct" term for B.C, and A.D, when speaking of years. Before Common Era, Common Era.

It's not politically correct it's the accepted historical standard. Americans seem to have a problem with doing everything the same way as everyone else.
