bah! i won't let the dentists do anything with my teeth, too expensive, just a waste of money. i "need" braces but pssh why spend upwards of $3,000 to look like everyone else? you know? i figger, as long as i brush them, what the hells wrong? umm.. dental insurance... it’s a good thing (my mom is in with the teachers union, good stuff) I think it’s important to go to the dentist, even if it’s just for a cleaning. It should help stop bad things from happening to your mouth… :unsure: I like not haven’t any fillings, and I like not having an odd or uncomfortable bite (I had braces too  see). I’m just glad for it, that's all… :hehe: |

The worst part about wearing braces is getting yelled at for popping the brackets off. Like when a pen clip wedges itself under the wire and you manage to pop three brackets off while getting the pen unhooked |

Like when a pen clip wedges itself under the wire and you manage to pop three brackets off while getting the pen unhooked :mellow: There is something called finesse… I broke a brace off only once…eating ice cream, one of the mini-M&Ms broke it off (it must have been loose to begin with)…I was at an airport departing to mexico… that was so scary! :ph34r: |

A day or two, the wire was cutting into my check  We ended up finding an orthodontist in that little town. The taxi driver (aside from his driving) scared the hell out of me as he took me through these darkish and narrowish roads (more like alleys) (it could have been my imagination though…probable not though) :blink: |

I loved my braces. Except for when the really hurt. I used to feel them with my tongue, and now there's nothing there, so I just feel my teeth. Then people look at me weird. I think my beef is getting braces. Not sure.

Your beef? :huh: On the topic of dentistry, who wants to hear about my never-ending root canal? All of you? Good! So after the incredibly long root canal surgery (aparently my tooth was strangely shaped, so the one appointment turned into a double session... 2 weeks apart), it turns out I can't get a cap until one of my wisdom teeth is removed. Meanwhile the temporary filling on the rooted tooth is peeling off (yuk), so I go to the dentist, and now I have a partial cap. So far, this project has taken 4 visits where 2 should have sufficed, and it's still not done. /rant Ahhhh.... I feel much better now. |
