If you learn from a mistake you shouldn't regret the initial mistake, because without it you couldn't have learnt from it.
There's nothing wrong with going "Oh, I wish I didn't do that." for a moment, but it is worthless to continue to bemoan about the mistake. Instead: accept it; learn from it; move on.

Well I regret being far more lazy than I used to be, and if I could pin down that change to any specific action/event then I would regret it.
But if I was given the chance to go back and re-live my life from any particular stage, I wouldn't change anything.
