Right - off the table on pages 1 and two of that, you pick ONE feat to be your background feat, and ONE skill to be your background skill. You also pick one equipment set to add to your starting gold.
SS; next thing to type is the point-buy system for stats. Won't take you long; its pretty short. Page 11.
