What with all the grumbling about the beta and the lack of new features, nobody seems to have actually sat down and thought about what they would actually want to see in the real age.  And we need a new topic.  So, whap your ideas here.

My main grumble is that the race bonuses are too clear-cut, and there's no overlap between them.  What if the bonuses were as follows:

Human: 25% income, 10% covert.
Elf: 25% covert, 10% strike.
Dwarf: 25% defence, 10% income.
Orc: 25% strike, 10% defence.

And it goes without saying that sabotage should be brought back, otherwise the covert bonus is nigh-useless.  And spies could be able to sabotage more than weapons - imagine if you could assassinate mercenaries!  Although the spy should then run a higher risk of discovery...  Also, they should have the option for spies to remain in the enemy camp, providing daily reports on not just stats, but the times of battles and who they were against etc.  The spy should have a chance of being discovered when he tries to deliver his report.  There would have to be some kind of counter for this, similar to the old "check weapons for sabotage" function.

I want most of the KoC players to get smarter, the admin of KoC to get smarter and get a better work ethic on the game, I want them to fix miscellanious shit, and some other things. Its mainly the people I hate and god my finger hurts.

well my idea for introducing soldier morale was received very well by the top players and beta testers way back when age2 was still about half way.  the admins said they would consider it, but that's around when they started to do less and less.

about the check for spies within camp idea:
personally, my ideal formula is
Spies * ( EnemyCA / YourCA ) * ( EnemyCL / YourCL ) / 24  * 100%= % chance of getting caught

CA=Covert Action
CL=Covert Level
A server-wide automatic check every hour(simultaneous with a turn), where basically all the server has to do is roll a 100-sided dice(from 0 to 99) and if the number turns up less than or equal to the % you automatically capture and kill a spy(perhaps a random number of spies, if there's multiple) in your camp.

Example:
You: 10000CA at 5CL with 10 spies sent
Enemy: 5000CA at 4CL
10 * 0.5 * 0.8 / 24 = 16.7% chance of your spy(ies) getting caught

You: 5000CA at 5CL with 3 spies sent
Enemy: 5000CA at 5CL
3 * 1 * 1 / 24 = 12% chance of your spy(ies) getting caught

You: 2000CA at 4CL with 1 spies sent
Enemy: 5000CA at 5CL
1 * 2.5 * 1.25 / 24 = 130% chance of your spy(ies) getting caught

I'll leave the analysis up to you, but I think it's fair. (Btw, if % is greater than 100%, just treat it as 100%)

Instead of of having the option to install adware on your computer to get rid of the ads, they should have it so people can pay with paypal or the likes and then by paying: the ads are removed for their account.

Also, alliances should be implemented within the game, so alliance control would be available (adding people, removing people, marking other alliances within the game as enemy, friendly, neutral,..) then by doing so, when you view someone's stats page, you'd see what alliance they are from. It works well in other games, I don't see why it wouldn't here Smiley

maybe because in other games, the admins actually care about and work on their existing codebase to.. get this...  improve their game.    Shocked

We should write a petition to the admins or something to get *them* to be a bit more active then. Or if not, I could see if I could find some game-admins/ex-game-admins out there that I've been friends with in the past who might want to take over this game Tongue But I hear a ton of moaning and groaning going on, so apparently the admins here really are incompetent Tongue

Handicaps! Or something of the like...

Humans: +25% Income, -25% Covert
Orcs: +25% Attack, -25% Defense
Dwarves: +25% Defense, -25% Income
Elves: +25% Covert, -25% Attack

I've played a few games where this is implemented, and its done pretty successfully.

pheh, as if the admins even care remotely about us folks...
they get their advertising money, they probably don't care about anything else.

I'd like to see no sabotage in the game, and the reimplementation of the orc kill bonus.   Smiley
