ok all sort of things have been mentioned... why not do the normal thing; ask a person you both know to introduce you people to each other, so you officially know her, after that it won't be very weird to talk to her, because you know who she is and more important she knows who you are...
she's at your school i'm sure you know someone who actually talked to her once :sheep:
