When they can't answer ask them why do they follow what they don't understand.
Or, if they do manage to answer, tell them that's a stupid reason (because whatever they say will be).

Okay, it's pushed forward and I'm going to bed. I'm not sure if we're getting anyone else joining, but I'll give it another few days before starting the main plot, just in case there's anyone who urgently wants to jump in at the last minute.
