I'm computer illiterate...i dunno how to set up the IRC crap and I am quite thoroughly confused...and I don't want to do things that screw up my comp...b/c most likely that's wut ends up happening...please help me

oh and i have trillian in case ur wondering

Click the grey button at the bottom of Trillian, then select Connection Manager.

On the left theres a bigassed list of servers. Scroll down to Quakenet and double click on it. Then expand Random Server, and select Quakenet random server. This will fill in the servername and Port boxes.

Now fill in your Nickname, alt nickname if thats taken, user info (anything will do there) and username.

Now click connect and wait a minute or so, then click on the grey button again, select join channel, and type #koctga, then click ok.

Ask if you need anything else.

this is the offical post that i'm out of irc for a while, time frame is either about 2 days, when a switch, usb/ehternet converter get to my house, if it works it will be awsome and i will be back on irc.  If not i will have to waight till i'm back in college which means about a month of no irc, insaine conversations, and talking to other people as screwed up as me :hehe:
