Ok I can't delete this one thing on my computer that's causing my google to screw up. It always says that Windows is using it, so I *can't* delete it. Well that sucks b/c it's something called the "dealhelper" right and it screws up my google so that everything I try to search for it ends up coming up with some site where you buy stuff. >(
If anybody would like to help please...

somthign about this topic drew me too it, not entirely sure why.
i hate files that doo that, specially if that have uhhh 'odd' fiel names and wont go away, can take hours to work out how to delete them

you can delete any of those files by opening the command prompt (start->run->cmd), going to the folder, using ctrl-alt-del to end windows explorer, then deleting the file. you only have to have a very basic knowledge of command promt workings to do it.

I think the problem is that I deleted something that the DealHelper needed to run by accident, and then I uninstalled the DealHelper, but then the thing that makes the DealHelper work can't be deleted b/c I needed the other stuff to uninstall and then delete. I have Ad-aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and The Cleaner and stuff still comes up.
I'm just going to have do a recovery or something.

Go into safe-mode and run ad-aware, spybot, etc all again.
Oh and get a good firewall - no point chucking people out the house if you still leave the door open.
Then lock your windows as well (by using Spybot or SpywareBlaster to disable IEs Active-X crap which can be exploited)

Ok this really doesn't have anything to do with the topic or maybe it does. I can't open my disc drive to insert the disc to do the recovery. I'm not usre if this is b/c the compy is stupid or there's something wrong with the drive like a unconnected wire. It worked today...but then sometimes it doesn't. edit: wait I got it to work. I'm afraid to close the drive b/c it might not open again  |

mine ddi that a few days ago for some reason its just jumps from the Pc's view ussually fixed by a restart
