An explanation of what's happening... On Sunday 8th January, my old/existing hosting is expiring. Given that I'm moving over to new hosting anyhow, I didn't want to waste money on a years more hosting with Easily, so I'm frantically shifting everything across now. If you're reading this around the 10th, everything should be sorted out and you don't need to worry. If you're reading before then, weird things might happen. Hopefully the forums are now functional, but some bits might not work perfectly. Anything else on the bpsite.co.uk domain might also do weird things. Eventually, www.bpsite.co.uk will act exactly as before, but it'll be in a different place - old.bpsite.net (or www.bpsite.net/old ~ same place) So currently you need to use old.bpsite.net/forums instead of bpsite.co.uk/forums but in the end both will work. Going well so far.  I've just got to double-check that I have downloaded everything from the old hosting and check if there are any more places to change domain name & database name and any file paths, and then it's just a case of updating the domain name on Monday. Oh, and I will take this opportunity to praise my wonderful new hosts - I had a problem transferring the database yesterday, asked for help at 7:29pm, and by 8:24pm they had sorted it. Problem fixed out-of-hours, in under an hour - Easily used to take over 24 hours just to reply to simple queries. |

Huh? Anyhow, I think all the domain stuff is redirecting properly now, but not really sure. Anyone want to let me know what they see when they type " bpsite.co.uk/forums" into the address bar? |

Yeah, my old hosts only allow URL masking using frames, which is crap, so I just made it redirect.
Eventually I'll probably transfer everything across to NetHosted, which will give me proper control, but since it's working I'll leave it for a bit.
