301  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Stale Topics on: September 18, 2003, 12:35:02 AM
Thanks guys but I think I'll have to decline.  I only intended on posting on the message boards for TGA.  I want to stay active on the boards, not live on them.  And I'm afraid that that's what would happen if I started looking around all the other boards.  I left a message in the new members thread about my status with the alliance and I hope to hear back from there soon.  Then I can check out the posts in the TGA exclusive boards.  Thanks for the offer though, spamming does seem like a lot of fun.  I was wondering how some people can have like 400 posts.   LOL
302  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Stale Topics on: September 18, 2003, 12:23:29 AM
Oh man, I've been using this message board for about 6 or 7 days now and the topics are already getting stale for me.  I don't know what else to post.  I was just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat as me, waiting for acceptance.  Don't be shy.  Talk to me.  Tell me a little about yourself.  :sheep:
303  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Favorite Admin on: September 17, 2003, 11:34:01 PM
Everous and Auron are the only two admins that I've really had any contact with, and even the contact I've had has been very little.  So I would have to pick one of them, no offense to the others of coarse, I just don't know you at all.  Firstly, I must comment on how Everous has the coolest Avatar I've ever seen.  I don't know man, it's just COOL!    The name is pretty high-quality too.  Then Auron on the otherhand has an Avatar of the ever-so-popular The Cheat.  I have to give respect to The Cheat, being that I am one of his biggest fans.  I would say something about Auron stealing the name from FFX, but I can't justify that, I'm scared to, and I just took my name straight out of the PHB from 3E DnD.  Close call man...close call.  But, in the end I gave my vote to Everous, who at the moment appears to be in the lead.  Shocked
304  The Great Alliance / The Great City / What's your rank? on: September 17, 2003, 07:13:35 PM
Alright!  I'm under 20,000 for the first time today.  I've been playing for about a week.  My new rank is: 19,349  :sheep:

305  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Spy levels on: September 17, 2003, 12:24:11 AM
Or nothing for that matter.  The first time I get sabotaged I'm gonna go crazy and use all my attack turns on one helpless orc just to blow off some steam.  They're all the same anyway.  Damn orcs.  :sheep:
306  The Great Alliance / The Great City / What's your rank? on: September 16, 2003, 10:18:36 PM
Well what happened is this: I had no idea what I was doing for the first three days so my attack turns got to be over 200.  Then some guy attacked me for 12,000 gold which was a big deal to me.  I got pissed off and went on a rage where I used all my attack turns to attack 12 different orcs for over 600,000 gold.  That day I went from Spy level 0 to 4, camp to towers, no siege to battering ram, and even got a flaming arrow, a steed, and some elven cloaks.  Finally I know which people I should be attacking and I can benefit from it.  :sheep:
307  The Great Alliance / The Great City / most depressing loss on: September 16, 2003, 09:59:05 PM
I'm a newbie too, playing about the same amount of time as you.  I just try to fly under the radar and keep myself from being a tempting target.  As soon as I know what I want to buy, I'll use mass amounts of attack turns to get enough money and then spend it right away.  Nobody wants to attack me if I have 2,000 gold.  The only loss I've suffered so far was a loss of 12,000 in 15 turns to some guy who obviously couldn't find a better target.   :sheep:  SHEEP!
308  The Great Alliance / The Great City / What's your rank? on: September 16, 2003, 09:55:30 PM
My rank right now is 24,055.  I only have 19 guys.  I just started playing a couple of days ago.  I need clicks so bad so I really need to get accepted into this alliance.  I think I'm gonna put one of those random sheep at the end of all my posts now so at least somebody will be using them.

SHEEP!  :sheep:  :sheep:  :sheep:  :sheep:  :sheep:  :sheep:  :sheep:  :sheep:

Okay I said one but I got a little excited.

Haha, you're the first person I've seen use that random sheep icon.  What in God's name is that for anyway?  :sheep:
310  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Your biggest attack!! on: September 16, 2003, 07:57:35 PM
I haven't checked myself but I would surely hope that it wasn't a human, and if it was, there better be good reason for it.  I thought we were sticking to orcs here.  I've been playing for about 5 days and I've attacked about 14 different orcs and the money I get from them is sufficient.   <_<
311  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Your biggest attack!! on: September 16, 2003, 07:18:29 PM
Wow!  6 casualties is by far the most I've seen.  Good job killing that orc scum!
312  The Great Alliance / The Great City / farms lol on: September 16, 2003, 01:23:43 AM
I'm kinda intimidated when it comes to farming off of someone.  I try to keep my targets one time only as much as I can so they figure, "eh, it's just one attack...no sense retalliating."  But God knows how those orcs think.

313  The Great Alliance / The Great City / arggh at cheaters. on: September 16, 2003, 01:01:27 AM
I just realized today that I can click on my own link every 24 hours for an extra soldier.  God am I dumb!     Well, it's not that much of a crime since I've only been playing for about 4 days.  But still!  That could have been three extra men for me!
314  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Down again on: September 16, 2003, 12:56:32 AM
I recently discovered that it's usually pretty effective to keep your money nice and low, save up the attack turns, and use them all at once, buying what you've been looking for immediately after and getting your funds nice and low again.  It really keeps the target off your head.  Wink
315  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Spy levels on: September 16, 2003, 12:53:11 AM
I didn't realize when I started playing how important spy levels are.  Now it's one of my top priorities because sabotage is quite the pain.
