31  BPSITE / Games and Gaming / NWN Character planner on: January 22, 2004, 07:04:19 PM
I'm not understanding the reasoning for sorceror since you want healing and counter spells.  Multiclassing with barbarian won't do anything helpful for you, except raise your speed a little bit.  You'll get some item that grants the haste property by the time you have the prereqs for shadowdancer so it pretty much gets negated.  You'll never rage as a shadowdancer so that becomes obsolete also.  Having a level in ranger would be good for the dual wield ability, but the experience penalty you get from multiclassing makes having one level of ranger not worth it, in my opinion.  Personally, I would start out with 5 levels in rogue and then go to five levels in cleric.  After that take shadowdancer all the way.  Being a rogue gives you the skill points you need, sneak attack damage, and some rogue abilities (uncanny dodge and evasion I think).  Then being a cleric gives you powerful spells, both healing and offensive, that don't suffer any chance of spell failure due to armor.  Also, both these classes have the same base attack progression, so you don't lose any base attack bonus points.  For example, as a sorceror you get +1 BA every two levels, so if you take an odd number of levels in Sor/Wiz, you pretty much waste +1 to all your attacks.  Skills and feats are totally up to you.  I don't know what shadowdancer prereqs are.  Ability point wise I would go with Dex as my highest and use a ranged weapon/light armor.  Con would be good since your hit dies would never be more than the cleric's 8.  Wis is important for your cleric spells and Int is important for skills, so those two are neck and neck.  Str wouldn't be important if you were using mostly ranged weapons/spells/sneak attacking.  Cha effects undead turning and a couple rogue skills, but still is least important.  I'm too lazy to do it on my own machine but try the Rog5/Clr5 shadowdancer and see how it comes out and what needs to be changed.
32  The Great Alliance / The Great City / Where does d1skreets money go? on: January 22, 2004, 06:48:18 PM
Damn, and I thought I was obsessed with this game before I stopped playing.  Never did I even consider waking up in the middle of the night to check my gold.  Nothing gets in the way of my sleep.  Life is much nicer now without checking a damn account every couple of hours.

I'm definately a NWN whore and I've played 3E DnD for a while (they use the same rules more or less).  If you have anything you want to ask me about making a character go for it.  And about that planner program...sounds like you better get started on that SS.
34  BPSITE / Games and Gaming / Super Bowl on: January 21, 2004, 06:59:12 PM
Matt...don't make a poll like this with a third or fourth choice.  You shoulda just left it as Carolina or New England.  By the way, New England will win by at least 14.

cool pic. Is that off of a movie?
Air Force One starring Harrison Ford.  Pretty good movie.  And no, we most definately DO NOT all talk like that.  Only about 70% of the people here.

Well we have The Great Fortress which is a member only section.  If you are accepted to the alliance you receive the password and gain access to that.  That's where all the action takes place.  Also, we have the non-KoC related forums where we talk about everything imaginable.  If you feel the need to start a new topic you want to discuss, go ahead and do that.

*SS was 30 seconds quicker than me.

I have to cheer for Carolina as well.  I hate when teams hog the Lombardi Trophy like the Pats are about to do.  Carolina doesn't have a chance in hell.  The Eagles played the worst game I've ever seen.  They had tons of chances and blew them all.  Receivers don't get open...Quarterbacks force passes...that's how interceptions happen.  I put blame on both.  At least Freddie Mitchell came to play.  As soon as McNabb went out I knew all chances of a miracle were out the window.  Who ever heard of Koy Detmer making a miraculous comeback?  At least there's always next year when the Eagles lose in the NFC Championship again.

You're so lucky I deleted my account recently.  I go in kamikaze style and 5x1 everyone on attack lists.  Cheesy

If nobody replied in the last month I would assume that nobody has anything to say about it...  :hehe:

My favorite part is how they have to drive 100 miles to their destination.  For normal people that takes about an hour and forty minutes or so.  With nobody else on the road it should take you an hour.  So what do they do?  They stop and have a picnic.  They end up having to sleep out in the open overnight.  Sounds like a good plan...  <_<

Well before the playoffs even started my friends asked me how I thought the Eagles would do.  I said they'd lose in the NFC Championship for the third straight year...so I wouldn't doubt that they'll lose.  You never know with football.

Well if it's any consolation to you if the Eagles were to lose I wanted the Packers to go all the way.  Brett Favre is a great quarterback and after everything that's happened to him I would have liked to see Green Bay win it all.  Not to mention the fact that the Panthers, Patriots, and Colts disgust me.
