So, Google passed Wave on to Apache, where it took three years of going nowhere before Apache retired it. The Spanish-based Comunes Collective tried to do something with it in Kune but activity there seems to have stalled too. Oh well. |

Spore was massively disappointing and a huge let down, but some people are working on an attempt to fix its failures with Thrive. I've not tried it, and currently only the Microbe stage is playable, but it's under active development so worth keeping an eye on. |

it is a mildly entertaining incentive to get out of the house regularly Round here we call that a job. (Though I do wish the entertainment aspect wasn't because laughing is preferable to crying.  ) There has to be a way to run Android in a VM with fake GPS/sensors so I can write a script to play the game for me, without actually going anywhere. |

I don't watch much any more but yeah - whether it's an episode every night or just as and when I feel like it, it's much more enjoyable and easier to get into compared to being drip-fed half an hour a week.

Hah, I remember when you could tell a text message was about to arrive because speakers would make a noise! I have external audio because the headphone jack broke and muted the internal audio - still was a long time of wiggling it just so to get a connection until I finally got it. My next upgrade will probably be a new mouse - my Logitech G500s has started dropping connection momentarily then reverting to a different profile, and it's getting frequent enough to be a nuisance. |
