i have everything set to high...maybe UT2k3 and Morrowind has graphically spoilt me...
i played dungeon siege...all hack 'n slash is just NOT fun, the combat in there too is far from innovative...i played it through once...it was alright, never touched it since...which also signals poor replay value...basicly everything that was wrong with the original diablo

uh...i'm not a big D&D fan...before NWN i didn't even know what the hell it was...
after playing it for a while, i can say its a decent game...but nowhere near top of the market that it was hyped up to be...the graphics are below standard, combat system, while good is neither exciting nor innovative...maybe its my lack of roleplaying finesse but while others seem to see a halfelven bards surveying the battlements of war...all i see is a low poly model walking up and down low poly brown painted blocks...
the main selling point IMO would be the D&D connection...but since i'm not into D&D i can't say that did much for me...maybe its the road they were looking for but the ammount of gameplay and potential fun that was sacrificed to stick closely to the new ruleset was very disappointing to me...
don't let me get you down...the multiplayer is ingenious, nice modding community (if a little too transfixed on nude aribeths :sheep: ) and if you're into D&D this is a must buy...but personally, i wish i'd spent my money on something a little less "loyal" and just a touch more fun...
thats about it...no doubt auron will have some choice four lettered words to say about this

looks pretty cool...but i stopped playing half life mods when the engine started to date...which was about 4 years ago :alien:
are you planning to change to half life 2 engine? or UT2k3 engine?...or are you planning to scrap the project when the engine finally dies on its knees?...which might not be too far away by the looks of the new games comming out :sheep:

BPSITE / Arts & Literature / Story... thingy.

ok...i'm writing this story for English...heres an unpolished draft version...Auron knows what exactly its based on but for now i'd like the setting to remain mostly vague:
What is the price of a life? a thousand? then thousand?...the lives of a million?
The rider reared and dismounted, kicking up a haze of dust behind him, and he would have been wary of the dangers ahead were it not for his present need. He walked forward uneasily and peered hard into the shadow land ahead. The mist fell and wrapped around his figure like a cloak, he would be safe for now; the fog lingered for a second, struggling to hold to a strand of shape, and falling away as the horseman dropped to his knees.
[note: beyond this point is some quick work, an outline]
Scrambling through the foliage there was the unmistakable air of battle. The land was heavy with blood; armour and weapons lay strewn aside in the wastes of war. He could still tell the soft clamour of arms amidst the carnage, there were stroops still mobilsed on the field, it was plain that the fighting had already ended. But who had won? Covering his face the scout scrambled through the undergrowth and spied his first casualty.
He bore the sign of the enemy, red marks on a brazen gold shield. The man lay dead across the foot of a great willow, smote with a powerful blow to the head. The disfigured image made him sick, but he felt gladnessswell up as he knelt over the corpse. Had he won? Maybe it be that he would meet the clear cut call of army sirens rather than cold steel.
