Title: 'lost in translation'
Post by: smi256 on January 27, 2004, 06:08:23 AM
Not bother seeing Lost in Translation.  Some parts are funny. But might be just because I was with my friends that know Japanese, French, and German so we knew (for the most part) what was being said.
-Not overly great characters
-Slow progression (which might be alright)
-There was inner turmoil, but no life bending revelations

In the end, I found it hollow and incomplete
[!--SpoilerBegin--][/span]

SPOILER

[!--SpoilerEBegin--]The guy doesn’t want to leave the girl, and the girl doesn’t want the guy to leave.  But life is a bitch, so they kiss go on back to their lives that they aren’t happy with.

In comparison to the Hollywood happy ending, where they love each other and leave their old unhappy lives behind.  but it didn't happen...[!--SpoilerEnd--]

[span class=\'postcolor\'][!--SpoilerEEnd--]

fixed that for you

You're the only person to have given it a bad review so far. Methinks you were looking for too much - why does there have to be fast plots, great characters and life-bending revelations in a movie?

sorry SS, there really wasn't anything there... :(  those where just the things that easily could have been done to make it more interesting...
mole, the only possible enjoyable parts would be if you watched it while high off something, or if you made-out instead of watching... :(
but ‘whatever floats your boat’

Slow Progression = More character time: +

Not enough memory on the computer, and KaZaA is being an ass to me, saying I have popup blocking software. If I have it, why do I still get popups? So, no movie for me. x.x
