There are a fairly decent amount of people here who have been here from the beginning, on the old boards.
of course, ss, but he's the site owner, he doesnt count. there's also myself, filran, firefairy i believe, auron(rug), matt, mole, ripper, and so on and so forth.
anyways, remember when this place was fun to post in? back when you could post about anything, and talk about anything, and never have to worry, so long as the posts connected in some way?
i think the things which have really driven people away is that people liked getting credit for all of their posts, no matter how spammy (to a degree here, work with me people) they are.

i know that i personally felt like some people were stepping on my toes when ss flat out banned spam throughout the forums and made his little spam temple.

anyways, i was going to make this nice case and have all this sensical logic behind it, but im tired, and i want a sandwhich.

anyways, what im saying here is: the forums are obviously dying here. why not go back to how things used to be?
as the saying goes: let the kids play ball

who cares if a few things go ultra-spammy, as long as we all have fun here?
isnt that what brought us all here in the first place? kings of chaos was fun. and we came here, to play and have fun and chill.
it just feels a little like theirs that nagging parent over my shoulder here, because we always have to check ourselves to make sure things arent too bad.

i admit, there's such a thing as bad spam (dark spam) but come on, why not just let us all have fun again, and take care of those isolated cases?

Now, mind you. I don't come here much though. I can't find much to talk about now. I'm too nervous I'll end up dragging the subject away from the subject matter, since that is a special ability of mine. Its like going, okay, I can't play because I'll play a different game then everyone else and I'll get in trouble.

Is the problem that spam is banned (and that rule really isn't enforced now) or people just seem to be dropping off the face of the earth?  :miffed:

Plus, I practice by spamming LJs with things about being educated by the pancakes, screaming cantalopes, or just singing songs. Or spamming with pictures from movies. ;)  

But it's still like that!
So long as there is a connection with the thread (and it's not just a "LOL" or "I agree") then it's not spam.
Unless the thread topic is "name a fruit", in which case the thread should be in the Temple.

But I like 'Name a Fruit.'

Would "Cheese" fall under the same category?

some of the stuff in the temples far beyond that, the rediculas stuff should be left in there, the humourous tangental subject? :thumbs-up: always good for me

in relation to ss's post.

i dont mean that the starting topic needs to be completely orderly and all that, im saying that we should allow conversations to move to other topics, just because that's the natural order of most conversations and discussions

But all of our topics end up discussing "cheese" after a few days.  LOL

Sure, there's nothing wrong with a conversation flowing.
And if there's the original conversation and and offshoot it just gets split away.
So where's the problem?

Nothing, I think. The same posts are still there, just in two seperate threads.

With IPB postcount only ever goes up, unless edited at Admin-level. It merely adds one to a counter when you post, rather than adding up every post you have in existence when you post, which some other boards do. In the latter example, deleting a post removes it from the postcount, unless it's done via mass prune.

Yay for drug powered posting?

sad thing is you nailed it. vicodin and prescription ibuprofen. broke my arm and had surgery on it last night. coulda been worse though, you shoulda seen me right after i got out of the or. keep in mind i hadnt eaten in 20 1/2 hours, nothing to drink (even water) in 12 1/2 hours. I was on morphine, benadryl, some other morphine-like drug cause i had a reaction to the morphine, vicodin, and 600mg ibuprofen (put in perspective, otc ibu is 150-200 mg usually.) yeah, I wasn't feeling much of anything.

Did you try masturbating?

The perfect time to go get some painful medical tests done!  LOL

frag how did you do it?

snowboarding. i turned too fast, and kept turning till my back was pointing straight downhill. the board decided that was a good time for its back edge to dig in and I promptly flipped backwards....very, very, hard. I couldn't even reach up and get my board off, I had to wait for my friend to make his way down the hill and unclip me.

he thought I was lying there just staring up at the sky in a good way, like when you fall lightly and are like "wheeee!!"

but really I was staring up at the sky for lack of ability to do much else. :(
