Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 07, 2004, 03:50:15 AM CURSE [span style=\'color:yellow\']the GIANTS!!![/span]
Sorry, I'm just in a bad mood ever since they defeated the Packers. Grrrr..... I hate the Giants...... and any other teams that are better than 1-3 and making Green Bay look bad! :P Title: NFL Post by: underruler on October 07, 2004, 03:52:19 AM haha... I thought you guys were talking about baseball.
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on October 07, 2004, 09:31:52 PM patriots are gonna win again, end of story ^_^
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 07, 2004, 11:12:36 PM
Partiots??? They only keep winning because of bad officiating and lucky field goals by Vinateri. :P Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on October 07, 2004, 11:39:20 PM Kurt Warner is gonna fuck up his season again. Eagles are gonna clinch the NFC East ahead of the Giants and I just don't want to think about where the Cowboys and Redskins are gonna fall. The chances of NE going 16-0 are slim to none, but as much as I hate them for that incomplete against the Raiders all those years ago, they'll probably clinch the division title.
Its just too early to tell right now. A quarter of the season is gone, but there's still three times the games to play left. So I'd say wait until after week 6 or 7 before passing judgements (although any team 1-3 or below is in serious risk of losing playoff contention, like the Redskins <_<) Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 08, 2004, 04:12:06 AM Hmm... gotta agree with you on all that, NS, except I believe in my Packers. Besides, look at their division! LOL
I think the Cowboys will go far this year, but Washington..... :P Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on October 11, 2004, 11:26:30 PM yeah the cowboys will go far..... LOL yeah right. Testaverde threw for only 126 yards against the Giants injury ravaged secondary. Eddie George was horrible, and they got run all over by Tiki. Giants are 4-1, damn straight
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 12, 2004, 02:59:36 AM I hate the stupid Giants. Why do they have to have such a good record?!? <_<
Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on October 13, 2004, 12:38:15 AM I'm getting tired of the Pats. Good for them, 18 straight wins, but I'd really prefer to see someone else on a winstreak. Maybe the Jets?!
Washington's playoff hopes are over. You just can't make the post-season starting 1-4. Gibbs is a good coach, and definately Williams is doing a helluva job with his players. But Portis isn't carrying, Arrington was out for two of the most crucial games, and Brunell isn't throwing. It's really frustrating. I have hopes for the Packers, but the Raiders seem like they're just not the team they used to be 3-5 years ago. Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 13, 2004, 03:26:15 AM Hehe... at least everone agrees about the Patriots! :hehe:
But the Packers... Green has his allergies and fumbling to worry about. Favre is constantly getting beaned. The GB defensive line is nonexistant... Pass rush/WR coverage? Not happening. Run stoppage? Not happening. All of the former good teams are dying now! :( Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on October 15, 2004, 09:26:55 PM Packers were good??? LOL
but man Lanair, Titans killed the Packers..... 48-27.... man sux for you Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 16, 2004, 12:55:51 AM Well, at least we scored more than vs. the Giants. :(
This is the first year since.... 1996 or so, that the Packers aren't doing well. ;) Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on October 16, 2004, 08:29:01 PM  ....they won the Super bowl in 96
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 17, 2004, 05:38:38 AM K, if you say so. I can't really remember things from back when I was.... 10 or so. LOL
Mebbe it was '93 I was thinking about... Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 18, 2004, 12:39:48 AM WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!
GREEN BAY WON :grass: :grass: :grass: :grass: :grass: :grass: Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on October 18, 2004, 04:17:37 AM new england won too, and set another NFL record :D
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 18, 2004, 10:14:43 PM Grrrr... stop diminishing my glory! :P
Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on October 19, 2004, 02:19:28 AM lets see Giants beat the Packers, Packers beat the Lions. Giants are facing Lions next Sunday. :D :D :D :D :D :D 's gonna be a gooooood game
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 19, 2004, 03:11:30 AM I hope the Giants win.... give the Packers a better place in the division. :)
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on October 24, 2004, 02:29:33 PM patriots are gonna beat the jets :)
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 24, 2004, 07:58:32 PM Either way, I hate undefeated teams, so yay and boo at the same time. LOL
Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on October 25, 2004, 12:48:34 AM crap
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on October 25, 2004, 01:38:27 AM WOOOOOT
GO PACKERS!!! :D Tough luck about the Giants. :) Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on October 25, 2004, 03:50:37 AM w00t! patriots win! :D
Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on November 01, 2004, 02:25:37 AM w00t! Giants killed the Vikings!!! and Pats lost!!!! LOL
Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on November 01, 2004, 02:36:12 AM W00T PATS LOSE!!! MATT = DOUBLE-TIME LOSER
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 01, 2004, 05:08:11 AM I was thinking the same thing! And...
PACKERS WON Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on November 01, 2004, 03:13:20 PM You know, I'm a Redskins fan, but considering that in the past 28 years, the winner of the Redskins vs Green Bay game determines the fate of the election candidates, I'd consider a sacrifice loss to the Packers is worth it.
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 01, 2004, 05:16:05 PM Quote W00T PATS LOSE!!! MATT = DOUBLE-TIME LOSER it doesn't mean the end of the season, get a grip on yourself :/ Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 01, 2004, 11:32:06 PM Quote You know, I'm a Redskins fan, but considering that in the past 28 years, the winner of the Redskins vs Green Bay game determines the fate of the election candidates, I'd consider a sacrifice loss to the Packers is worth it. Isn't it if the Redskins lose their final home game before election day, regardess of the opponent, the incumbent loses? :) I was thinking how I'll accept a sacrifice Presidency, with Kerry in office, as long as the Packers won. LOL Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on November 01, 2004, 11:57:49 PM No, nothing to do with home games. Just Redskins vs Packers.
I forgot to add... MATT IS A LOSER Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 02, 2004, 04:53:14 AM site (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1913509)
Packers were just the team that beat Washington this year. :) Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on November 02, 2004, 03:11:14 PM Yeah well just about any team can beat Washington nowadays.
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 03, 2004, 03:03:05 AM meh, i dunno about miami :P
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 03, 2004, 03:51:09 AM LOL
Or Chicago. Or Oakland. Or Title: NFL Post by: sharky@school on November 05, 2004, 05:08:11 PM yeah, you'd better cross that out
*swings mace menacingly* Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 07, 2004, 04:19:56 AM Ugh. Coming home from Maine today I was unfortunate enough to land on the New England Patriots' radio station. Every 5 minutes they would mention they were the official station of the World Champion Pats. Grrrr...... :P
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 08, 2004, 04:31:48 AM w00t! :D
*turns up the radio* Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 08, 2004, 05:13:17 AM Bah. Did the Patriots win again today? :/
Oh, anyone know when the Minnesota game is? I'm guessing tomorrow night, but I'm not sure. I do know next week's game, though. :D Title: NFL Post by: matt@school on November 09, 2004, 05:13:49 PM yeah, it was like 40-20 or something like that :D
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 09, 2004, 11:18:14 PM w00tage! Minnesota lost last night! Now if the Packers can win next week's game, they'll be in first place in the division!!! :D
How could you root for a team like NE? It's not as interesting! :P Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 11, 2004, 08:19:20 PM last week was...wierd...seven underdogs won
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 11, 2004, 11:48:35 PM Records don't mean much nowadays, do they? LOL
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 13, 2004, 01:01:35 AM doesn't seem like it...except with the patriots since their's is so good :P
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 13, 2004, 05:56:53 AM LET'S GO PITTSBURGH! The record-smashers. :D
Oh, and of course PACKERS!!! Who else thinks they'll crush Minnesota this weekend? :) Title: NFL Post by: Goryous on November 13, 2004, 07:08:32 PM I do! Packers are going to win ;)
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 13, 2004, 10:53:27 PM actually i think i picked gb to win this week...not sure though...
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 13, 2004, 11:24:50 PM Yay! Support! :D
Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on November 15, 2004, 03:59:15 AM YAY PACKERS WIN!!! I'm rootin for them and the Steelers to make the Super Bowl. Although i'm still a Giants fan, as of today i won't attempt to drown myself everytime they lose which they did again.
Title: NFL Post by: Goryous on November 15, 2004, 05:44:32 AM PACKERS WIN AGAIN!!! Yay...top team in they're doing really good. This is their 4th win in a row now right?
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 16, 2004, 01:17:25 AM WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!
GREEN BAY WON Now then, what was the question? Oh yeah, this is their 4th win in a row, placing them tied for 1st in the division, and not to give them the mati, but they're looking really good! :D A Steelers-Packers game would be interesting... though what if they faced the Pats? Again. :) Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on November 16, 2004, 02:13:35 AM the pats would kill them of course :)
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on November 16, 2004, 04:08:36 AM ???????
If the refs don't favor the Patriots (lke usual), GB would win! :P Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on January 10, 2005, 02:37:12 AM well we now know for a fact that the Packers ain't goin to the Super Bowl now :P
Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on January 10, 2005, 03:09:01 AM Divisional Championship games:
Falcons @ Eagles* Colts* @ Steelers (* = winner) Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on January 10, 2005, 04:35:41 AM Nah, Steelers will win. ;)
But... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Green Bay really needs some defense. And some coordination on offense. Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on January 10, 2005, 09:26:17 PM And I've officially disowned Brett Farve.
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on January 11, 2005, 01:38:51 AM It wasn't all his fault. :but:
Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on January 11, 2005, 10:25:30 PM He threw four interceptions. Count em --- one, two, three, four.
Manning threw 4 in the AFC Championship last year, and Warner threw 4 in the Super Bowl three years ago. It was his fault --- completely. Brett Farve: you're done being my hero. Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on January 12, 2005, 12:08:10 AM I recall that for at least the first two interceptions, it was solely his receivers' faults. <_<
Meh, I still love him; after all, it wasn't like the rest of the team played any better. Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on January 17, 2005, 10:20:38 PM Well who do y'all think are gonna go to the Super Bowl now?
I'm sayin the Patriots and the Falcons, I would pick the Steelers but Roetlhisbergur(sp?) had an awful game against the Jets and he's still a rookie. I'd rather go with Brady, a proven postseason player. I despise the Eagles, who only won because of Mitchell's freak catch of the fumble, i'd rather go with Vick and the Falcons after their annailation of the Rams Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on January 20, 2005, 01:06:55 AM Quote would pick the Steelers but Roetlhisbergur(sp?) had an awful game against the Jets and he's still a rookie. Roethelsburger IS NOT A ROOKIE. I don't care if he is a rookie, but you find me another rookie that's won 14 straight games, and snapping the Patriot's win streak. Yes, he made some bad throws against the Jets, but if you're so busy picking on mistakes, the Packers committed plenty for you to indulge in.Now that the Colts are out, im saying Steelers win over Eagles in Super Bowl. Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on January 22, 2005, 11:43:06 PM I'm hoping it's Steelers over Eagles in the SuperBowl, but I bet the Patriots will win it again this year. <_<
Title: NFL Post by: Asura on January 23, 2005, 08:32:51 PM I haven't been following all the teams and such or whatever, so I have no clue who can/will go to the Superbowl. ._.''...
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on January 23, 2005, 11:46:52 PM well of course the patriots are gonna win it again this year, they ARE the best out there of course :D
Title: NFL Post by: Guest:ns33 on January 23, 2005, 11:58:31 PM There's 3:31 left in the 4th quarter and the Eagles are going to the Super Bowl!!
Title: NFL Post by: Guest:ns33 on January 23, 2005, 11:59:30 PM Quote well of course the patriots are gonna win it again this year, they ARE the best out there of course :D Actually, they're not. They were 14-2 in the regular season, while the Steelers were 15-1. Steelers also have #1 defense. And they won't be playing at home. Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on January 24, 2005, 01:52:49 AM Hmm... not looking good for the Steelers right now (17-3 in 2nd quarter). Brings back memories of the Packers..........
Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on January 24, 2005, 05:08:35 AM I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on January 24, 2005, 05:21:54 AM Erm, let's go Eagles?
Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on February 03, 2005, 09:26:07 PM No I'm a Giants fan, so if the Eagles win i'll kill myself. Then again I'm a Yankees fan so seeing Boston celebrating again will make me ill.
Then again i prefer being ill to being dead so i'm rootin for the Patriots Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on February 04, 2005, 05:02:05 AM The way I see it, Philly stole the NFC Championship from GB a few years ago, but the Pats stole the Super Bowl from the Packers, so I'm rooting for a tie that lasts into triple OT! :D
Title: NFL Post by: underruler on February 05, 2005, 07:55:53 AM I'm going for the Eagles b/c I'm not feeling patriotic as of late.
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on February 05, 2005, 08:34:59 AM Okaaaaaaay... nice rationale. LOL
Title: NFL Post by: ns33 on February 05, 2005, 10:31:54 PM Quote I'm going for the Eagles b/c I'm not feeling patriotic as of late. I like that. Ditto to what she said Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on February 07, 2005, 04:58:34 AM Woohoo- Eagles lost!!! :D
DAMN- Patriots won!!! <_< Title: NFL Post by: Goryous on February 07, 2005, 05:32:17 AM Well, I finally dropped back here to post. Its really too bad they didnt go into triple overtime ;) I really didnt want either to win but wanted the eagles to lose more :P Atleast it was a pretty close game and not a boring blowout 49-0 game
Title: NFL Post by: Saladin on February 07, 2005, 02:31:03 PM man McNabb sucked horribly
Title: NFL Post by: Goryous on February 07, 2005, 07:05:17 PM Yeah, interceptions killed the eagles thats for sure.
Title: NFL Post by: Lord Lanair on February 08, 2005, 01:04:57 AM It reminded me of Favre's game against Minnesota. <_<
Well, the game was pretty good for the 1st 3 quarters, at least. Title: NFL Post by: Perdition on February 08, 2005, 02:03:37 AM woohoo the pawtucket patriots won!
Title: NFL Post by: matt_the_shark on February 08, 2005, 05:29:26 AM Quote DAMN- Patriots won!!! <_< damn right they did, as I've been saying that they'd do all along :D |
