Even if she herself didn't notice, I would've though other people mentioned her growing stomach, and didn't put it down to eating icecream. :/ Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: opperdude on July 21, 2004, 08:39:13 PM well i'm glad they think he has a pretty face and don't want to change it... otherwise they'd have to do plastic churgery on the baby

Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: fan2hoobastank on July 22, 2004, 12:30:31 PM haha yes us Americans, u know? the ones that saved ur asses twice. yes that's us.

You arent American, your either Portuguese, French, British, or a load of other country names I cant remember. The only Americans in America are the damn Indians! Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: mole on July 22, 2004, 05:32:34 PM no no cus they came from somwhere else too. aswell as all the ancient south american civilisations
Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: Perdition on July 22, 2004, 11:01:11 PM I think if you're born somewhere you count as being apart of whatever that place is. you're not as "pure" as the goombas who can trace their ancestoryness back to the 1700's but it still counts
Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: fan2hoobastank on July 22, 2004, 11:34:41 PM no rip I'm American, I mean if I'm going to go to another country and end up getting persecuted for being "American" then I'm going to take the perks of being "American" as well. Not Irish/Scottish/English American which is what I am.
Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: mole on July 22, 2004, 11:54:43 PM *chucklles* dont worry you dont need to move country to be prosecuted as an american
Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: Lord Lanair on July 23, 2004, 03:30:10 AM :P
Ripper- extending your logic further, we can say that everyone is African, since it's the place where humans originated. Yes, that includes the "Brits".... you're all really Africans! :P Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: SS on July 23, 2004, 11:55:14 AM Have you got proof that humans originated in Africa, or did you just watch The Cradle of Life? :P
Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: fan2hoobastank on July 23, 2004, 12:45:51 PM the first signs of human life were found in africa

Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: SS on July 23, 2004, 01:05:23 PM Okay, lets put it another way:
Civilization has been accepted to have started in three locations: Central America (Aztecs/Mayans/etc), Egypt & Mesopotamia (Iraq), and China. It seems odd that, if human life started in Africa, three distinct groups went and found areas which are no-where near each other to live in. Also, from a logical/sensical viewpoint - why should evolution only happen once? Perhaps the egyptians & mesopotamians came from Africa and migrated north, whilst independantly, the jungles of South America also produced evolution into humans who moved where there was better conditions/more water, and likewise with the Chinese group - perhaps they originated in the jungles to the south and migrated north. Doesn't that make more sense than just a single group spreading all over the globe? Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: opperdude on July 23, 2004, 01:10:17 PM Quote Okay, lets put it another way: ehm but not all at the exact same time right? there might be like 1000+ years difference between those... and obviously if they're doing good they'll expand Civilization has been accepted to have started in three locations: Central America (Aztecs/Mayans/etc), Egypt & Mesopotamia (Iraq), and China. Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: SS on July 23, 2004, 01:23:47 PM Yeah, but why expand to far-flung areas, when there are plenty of good areas nearer?
Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: FragMaster1972 on July 23, 2004, 04:47:49 PM Quote *chucklles* dont worry you dont need to move country to be prosecuted as an american you can be prosecuted just for being American? and people say *we* have no freedom..... :hmmm: then again, perhaps you meant persecuted? :D Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: mole on July 23, 2004, 05:19:10 PM yea that too
Quote Doesn't that make more sense than just a single group spreading all over the globe? the meanderthols migrated out of africa before the latter man. they werent as evolved, things such as less agility, more suited to fighting, cmaller brain due to thicker skull and if you feel in your upper throat theres a small bone that if you snap will leave you with the grunting equivalent of being mute, that bone was so different on a meanderthol that theyre speach patterns were veryunlie ours today. Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: RipperRoo on July 23, 2004, 05:51:58 PM So thats what youve been doing recently!

Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: Lord Lanair on July 24, 2004, 04:14:23 AM NO.. I needed that! :)
Sorry, but SS, your idea of human civilization is wrong. Humans are widely accepted to have first developed in Africa. The current hypothesis is that the Cro Magnons, our direct descendants, migrated out (just like other species, ie Neanderthals, did before) and replaced the others. We modern humans are not related to Neanderthals, nor do we have any of their genes. They were exterminated (or just died out, possibly through competition with the more highly evolved Cro Magnons). As to civilization, ancient Sumer, in Mesopotamia, was the first human civilization (followed closely by China and India). Civilization in the Americas would probably be first seen in the Olmec peoples, who lived around the 900's AD (I'm not positive on that time). ;) /thus endith bio-history nerd. :D P.S. mole- you're right. LOL Title: Pity on civilisation Post by: SS on July 24, 2004, 09:37:51 AM Quote The current hypothesis is that the Cro Magnons, our direct descendants, migrated out Blah, it was them that migrated then, not Humans. :PQuote the Olmec peoples, who lived around the 900's AD (I'm not positive on that time). The Olmec go back at least as far as 1200 BC.The Mayans were also around at that time, and their calendar goes back to 3114 BC.
