If you weren't living where you are now...where would you want to live?

I would pick a place where people spoke English.

california, preferably near the beach.

On my island.

hawaii, i lived there before for 2 years, it's great :cool:

meh, ive been there. hawaii's very overrated, and they kept pissing at us about water conservation, even when we werent using any water. they're surrounded by the fucking ocean, get over it. <_<

Apparantly it rains constantly.

there's alot of rain, but usually it all comes down at once.  

It's usually warm too isn't it?  Hawaii is overrated b/c everything is so expensive b/c of all the freaking tourists.  But I like the food.  THey have spam.

Yea rain is good, but it isn't better than snow.

the temperatures aren't actually that bad.  Because of the winds coming from the north the temperature usually never goes above the mid 80's.  but in the winter, it doesn't go below 60! :D

Blah, snow sucks. It's too light and cold.

yeah, plain water is better, good for swimming :D

I've never ever seen snow so I would like to live in a place where it's there a lot.

I wanna have my own private island where I can invite cool people and only cool people. All the countries suck too much. I'd say Cali after that, but it's too damn overpopulated now and friggin expensive. hmmm....

Well none of you have bothered to name something outside of America, so I got the impression you didnt realise there was anywhere.

why would I want to move out of the country?

I would like to live in Canada but I don't want to be around teh French speaking people.  I'm not bilingual so I don't want to move outside the country.

English is spoken in lots of countries though. And this thread is all theoretical (unless you're planning to move?) so why limit yourself with silly things such as languages.

It's named the "Windy City" after the politicians who were making a big fuss over the 1908 (or so) World Fair.  They wanted it hosted in Chicago, not New York (the other candidate city), and were  arguing to get the opportunity.  :)

Antarctica is too cold.... maybe Tahiti would be a better choice?  LOL

i don't really want to move anywhere else, but if i had to i'd prolly choose a city (i can't live in a lil' village or something, it freaks me out, i need people...
i think a city in australia would be a good choice, as you're close to the sea and hot weather (for surfing) there and also close to mountains and snow (for snowboarding)  :cool:  

I don't think you can move to Australia...they have something about outsiders living there, which is sad b/c I wanna live there :(

You can go for holidays there, so long as you can prove that you have enough money, or something odd like that.

My sister has been there since February. She'll probably be back soon, but I'd call staying for several months "living". :P

I realize that but if you don't listen very carefully or have a hearing aid...or are American then they sound similar.

Yes, but as we're talking about the Australians here, we can assume that they will clearly know the difference between a native speaking with in the native accent and a foreigner speaking with an accent from the other side of the planet! :P
