Has anyone else noticed this?

Kings of Chaos is free of charge because it is supported by advertising. Normally this advertising comes in the form of banners displayed on each page. For users who do not like viewing banners, Kings of Chaos is now offering an alternative to banners called Zango. Depending upon Zango's popularity, it may become a permanent part of Kings of Chaos.

Zango is a software program which runs on your computer, and may occasionally display an advertisement, on average about two advertisements per day. At any time, you may uninstall Zango by using the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, and return to traditional banner advertising.

Zango collects information on the web sites you view for both statistical purposes and to better target the advertisements it delivers. No information will be collected to personally identify you. Zango is committed to your privacy, as is detailed in its Privacy Policy.

In order to use Zango you must be running Windows 95 or greater, and use the Internet Explorer browser. You also must always log in to Kings of Chaos though this special Banner Free login page.

If you would rather not use Zango, and continue using traditional banner advertisements, you are free to do so. Simply log in using the bar at left as you always have.

Translation: Download spyware from us in return for us removing the adverts!

Errr... right.

Rug: uh... yeah... it has been there for a few weeks now... and has been discussed a while back.

And the overwhelming majority has concluded that KoC has been the $|-|!7 before, it still is, and will always be.  So, the only thing to do is use either Mozilla(FireFox) and/or AdMuncher.
Unless you're the masochistic type that likes to feel the pain of downloading spyware, running SpySweeper(or the like), and cleaning out the spyware...and then repeat the process over again.

Macs are only good because they pinched Linux technology.  As for a browser, I've told you before to use Camino (http://www.mozilla.org/products/camino/).

I've widely heard Mozilla recommended over Safari on macs, I believe it was to to security and stability issues. Just another piece of crap that only a Mac lover could ever possibly use.... :hmmm:

I can't use it!  I have MacOS 9.  ;)

Check Firefox out,  http://www.mozilla.org/ (http://www.mozilla.org/)  scroll down to technology preview and see firefox under this then click Mac OS X.  It should d/l it, then start it up and go to tools--options---web features tick the "for the originating website only" check box, this will block the ads, also Firefox automatically blocks pop-ups.

Edit: i just noticed you said you have OS 9, can OS X stuff run on that?

Well Gang,
I notice the aforementioned spyware notice but I run spybot regularly so I don't worry about spyware.
