Anyways, I finally thought of an amazing idea.  This is mainly for anybody in the eastern half of america, so most others need not continue reading.
  I thought of an idea for us to actually visit each other without our parents going berzerk. cause let's face it, this doesnt exactly sound normal.  "where are you going honey?" "oh, just out to meet some people from the internet who'm ive never met before."
but then it came to me.  where do 90% of weird people like us meet each other? conventions! now personally, im not 16 yet, and won't get my liscence until july. so i know we'd have to try and go to a convention after that.  im going to start looking around right now. anybody else who might be interested, please say so. also, if you are going to be getting your liscence after mid-july, please say so. that would help narrow my search.  id like to get at least 4 people. any less and it might not be worth the trouble. anywho, im off to search the internet. feel free to submit convention's you know about.

I'm getting my license in june. I'm willing to go. I'd bring my dad though. Can't go without a gaurd. :P

that works fil. anywayz, i found a list of conventions. im particular about the first one, but that's just because it's only like an hour from my house. LOL. i put the dates in bold, so they're easier to spot.

star trek conventions? do they have those?  i prefer anime, cominc, or game ones.  star treck would be a bunch of old people  creeping me out.

yeah, they still have those. those were the more common conventions for a while.

Too bad I live here...I would do it...but I really don't think it would be believeable by my mother that I'm going to a convention even if it was here.  Especially for games and what not.

SS, if you come during non-tourist season, you can get tickets damn cheap. :D

plus, it's not likely that a college kid could afford a round-trip ticket to the states.
so, any of those con's looking ok, or should i keep searching? im trying to find one in somewhere that's sort of in the middle of where everybody's coming from. like for now, im trying to find one between vermont and north carolina.

well, it depends on what airline you're taking, as well as where you're flying to.

That's the cheapest one, and covers air travel & hotel.

It's very unlikely that I could afford that much, but I guess it all depends on what sort of job I get.

Actually, that reminds me... I've got a script for marking positions on a map.

If you want, I can go upload it, anyone interested can mark roughly where they are, and then the optimum location could be decided on.

yeah, that convention in durham is starting to look pretty nice. but i dont wanna make fil have to drive all the way down here.

it was kind of a hint but I don't live in New York.  see cuz Frag, Sharky, RB, and Lanair live in NY...I doubt Lanair would want to meet anybody from here...cuz of the potential crazy factor.

My dot is in CA it's probably not very exact b/c I'm dumb in geography.

Make sure you've got your window full-screen and have disabled IE's dumb image-resizing feature.

Internet Explorer has a feature which re-sizes large images. If you're clicking one place but getting your marker appear in another place then that might be causing it.

I can't move my marker once I place it down. . .

The numbers are the X/Y co-ordinates on the image. I'm not sure why I included them, but it'll make me sound smart if I claim it was to distinguish between different markers with the same name, because that makes me sound smarter. ;)

OH whoops sorry...I was kind of idling and posted that w/o refreshing things LOL thanks though.  I kind of thought that the numbers might be...latitude and longitude, but I doubted it.  I'm kind of peeved b/c I don't think the dot is exactly right.

i'm booked this summer.(Puerto Rico and St. Martin for two weeks, Camp for 3 and North Carolina for 2) I only have a week to play with sometime in August but i plan to spend it in NYC so probably not this year, but if it is a yearly thing then next year i can

I've got no idea about any conventions, let alone any happening after mid-july.

well it all depends on where your looking. select  an area and it will be easier to find.  or selcet a specific  type of convention.

ive decided that, with my parents divorcing and all the fighting and all the stress that that puts on my mom, im going to hang around for a while. but im still going to go to the convention, asuming i can save up some bus ticket money, which shouldnt be too hard because im going to clean our house for somewhere between fifty and a hundred dollars a week.
