everything looks the same as age 2.....is it just my imagination, or is age 3 simply age 2 with less bugs and a couple fixed gameplay issues?  :blink:  

No sabotage, extra fortifications, mass attacks less effective, etc.

Although I've no idea what you're seeing; I haven't signed up yet.

I hope they have sab in the non-beta.  I like sab.  Also you only start with 1000 gold.

Hmmm... do I stay with Elves and potentially make the game harder, or switch to Human? :mellow:
It is Beta, so perhaps they'll still balance the Elven advantage somehow?

dunno about you, but i'm staying human.  but with the lack of sabotage maybe the immunity factor is gone too...:unsure:

well, if there's no sabatauge, then it stands 2 reason that there would be no immunity 2 sabatauge, as it is non-existent. also, after they get done with beta, someone tell me how it is, i might actually consider rejoining

i meant immunity to regular spying...so it would be like the spies in age one.

Basicly, in the beta, Humans and Dwarves are the ones to go with if you want a bonus that'll work.

Orcs seemed to be the best race to play as in the last age.  Elves now have a massive disadvantage if sab isn't restored - and if it wasn't for my projects I'd have been squished a few times now.  Overnight, a grand total of 68K was stolen, which I needed for my dragonskin  :angry:.  Grr.  Once I get that, I'll hopefully be able to fend off overnight attacks.  There should be an option to do something with your money overnight, to try and mitigate it.

i would have to say humans, because their bonus does not limit you to attack or defence, with orc or dwarf you can do more with less, but with humans you can just have more

I lost about 113K last night, and a load of elves to boot.  I've adopted a strategy of staying low in the ranks (35,000) by not touching my weapons or covert areas whilst steaming my defence, but I'm considering rethinking that.  Would you advise staying low, or getting as high in the ranks as possible?  Bearing in mind that this is only the Beta, that is.

Edit: it's academic now - I've bumped myself up to about 5,000.

LOL...no offense, but humans suck, and have since Age 1.  They are money farms, nothing more.

Apologies... allow me to resay that.

Humans in the lower ranks generally are poor players, as the only race bonus they possess is an income bonus, making them more tempting targets.  However, a good defence will correct this misfortune, as demonstrated by Biteme360 in above post.  Should a human player's defence be sufficient to defend against most attacks, the income bonus will be less detrimental, and with the addition of more non-mercenary men will allow for quicker weapon purchases/repairs as porportional to amount of weapons and TBG.

So basically, if you use your TBG quickly, humans are good.  :D  

I am finally back again. So, does anybody think the admins will add back sabotage? From what I have read it looks like this age will be heavily leaning towards attack. Thus giving orcs a possible advantage in the long run... :unsure:  ohwell, Humans will be the most common because of GOLD...what else?

I really don't think that they'll bring back sabotage (they should or everybody's gonna call a mutiny and attack them)  

some people say that it'll come back, some even say they got the info from admins, but that's throught the grape vine, so take it for what it's worth: gosip ;)

The admins prolly hate us so they want to make us angry.  WHY WOULD THEY TAKE SABOTAGE AWAY???

I'll tell you why..maybe anyways. Its that they went and attacked some people that had ALOT of gold and they didnt build up enough CA and the person they attacked sabbed them to the stone age. Then they got really pissed...?  :rolleyes:  Maybe they didnt think about hording knives to bank for spy skills or somthing. Just a wild guess but hey, maybe.

Well, I think the real question is did the person cry?  It may not have been the admin~guys in charge but one of their girlfriends or somthing...who knows. Chances are somebody close enough got wiped out and they finally saw how getting sabbed to the stoneage wasnt fun. I mean....we/most adapted working on banking knives and what not just to get sab proof. Those that didnt understand that and went all out attack like in age one got wiped out quickly. ALL attack trained, no defense, no CA in age1 was pretty good, age2 suicide, age3...who knows.

Oh that would be awesome if they cried...I remember when someone sabbed me b/c I attacked him, but he was fairly nice.

Maybe the admins hate elves and want to keep them down? LOL, we will know this is try if when age3 comes around they get NO BONUS FOR YOU! under the elf race name  ;)  

Yea...pretty much elves suck right now but I like to play as one.

The Elf bonus is pretty useless at the moment, I must admit.

Ah, Age 1, where spies meant nothing, mercs were easy to get, and rabid pitbulls didn't exist. :D

and being all attack didn't hurt you.  in fact, it was better for the low ranked person :D

being all attack with a low army size was great because you couldn't lose much gold and you could pic on the bigger people since you could have as many weapons as you wanted.

oh, and i had 20 unit production.  it was easy to get that back then :)

My biggest problem with KoC is that when you get down to it EVERYTHING is based on clicking.  There should be less emphasis on clicking and more emphasis on strategy, etc, cuz clicking is boring, plus it gives a huge advantage to those who have no life and can just click all day.

But then would people play it as much?
