Title: What race do you prefer and why? Post by: Thamior on December 26, 2003, 05:12:35 PM As I said before, the only RPG I've ever played is DnD. I usually end up playing an elf or half-elf. I'm a fan of the pointy ears. I never really liked Dwarves until Gimli from LotR, so I haven't played one of those (yet). With the 3E and 3.5 ruleset for DnD I can't play a small character (Halfling and Gnome) because the -2 Str penalty is too much of a downfall for me. Humans are boring because I'm a human in real life, and Half-Orcs are fugly/dumb. So yeah, I pretty much play elves and half-elves.

Warcraft 3? Undead Warcraft 1 and 2, Human. On mudds im generaly the race that best suits the class I would like. Buuuut... When I rp kanama and BA I prefer Undead, Dwarf, Human, Halfling. Post by: Paladin_Lothar on December 27, 2003, 07:19:54 PM hmmmmm....Elves are good to be ranger or wisard not fighters...but I like them because they are beautiful :) But I always play with human.At AD&D because humans only could become paladin and at D&D cause of the bonus :) so............i can see that there are too few that play D&D...pity....

I like getting to use my imagination for a change. Also, it's really fun to see your character develop physically AND socially.

Usually I do alot of free form, so you can be whatever, as long as there are limitations. Alot of the time you can find me playing canine furres, or feral wolves. It all depends.

Trolls are trolls are trolls. I have heard claims that "orc" is just the hobbit word for "goblin", but even if that was originally true, the two are clearly different now. heres a much simplified version orc = lotr talk for goblin it explains at the start of "the hobbit" orc = elves tortured and corrupted by morgoth in the dark years. Therefore dark elves may be interpreted as orcs in LOTR. However, the dark elves also apply to all of the elves who at the comming of Orome grew afraid and ran off, therefore they were neither of the sindar, or the eldar. Maybe they were all corrupted by Morgoth or killed, it dosen't say. There was also a dark elf called Eol...but he was just wierd and never went out... in norse mythology dark elf = dvergar = kinda dwarf guys edit: yup...first post in here...not bad Title: What race do you prefer and why?
