I dunno why people call football <> football even though its not really football like football O is. Of course, seeing people slam each other head on in football <> is better than watching plain old football O

I love good old American football.  It's by far the best sport to watch consistently and that's why it got my vote.  Go Eagles!  But I must admit, once it's time for the World Cup to come around, I'm all over that.  Both are great sports and I don't play either of them competitively, but watching them on TV, playing recreationally, and playing video games of both sports kicks ass.  <> and o rule!

Let's talk about Ahman Green's incredible rushing this season.  ;)  

I'm an easily confused person.  thats a really tough choice.  hmm  I would have to say soccer I guess because my parents wouldn't let me play football("o Anna your too sensitive" bah!)  course in football you actually get to tackle people and you don't get in trouble for doing so.

I think we should talk about how Rush Limbaugh (spelling?) is a douche for talking crap about the Eagles when they were 0-2 at the beginning of the season.  The two teams that they lost to were the last two Super Bowl Champions, the Pats and the Bucs.  Now look at the Eagles.  They're 8-3 and on a 6 game winning streak.  I can wOOt to that.  But seriously, I never though Dallas would keep up their high level of play and they're still 8-3 as well.  They seriously have no talent on that offense of theirs.

Quincy Carter is terrible...that stats speak for themselves.  They don't have a consistent rushing game.  Joey Galloway is rarely effective, Terry Glenn is washed up, and Antonio Bryant is a no-namer.  The Cowboys have been an incredible team thus far this year, I'll give them that.  They surprised the hell out of me.  But it's 80% because of their defense, 15% from special teams, and 5% offense.  The game that they beat the Eagles they had one special teams TD and one defensive TD.  If it weren't for the Eagles opening the game with an onside kick that was returned all the way, the result of the game woulda much different considering Dallas only won by a field goal as it is.

and even the Giants game was a fluke because of the out of bounds kickoff. the only offensive player on the Cowboys whos any good is Galloway. I was playing Madden 2004 against my friend who's a Cowboys fan. (I was the Giants obviously). he set all of Carter's stats to 99, i picked him off 4 times and i won 57-21. to borrow a phrase from Stuart Scott BOO-YAH!!!!

well a win is a win... the only teams they've lost too... well r the gooood ones haha... and they didnt lose against the giants... mistakes tell the team... including the kicker and how he kicks... :rolleyes:  :P  :D LOL

Yeah I seriously think that the Giants should fire every player on their special teams unit except Jeff Feagles.  He makes some good punts.  Thank the Lord the Giants have Brian Mitchell now instead of the Eagles.  I liked him a lot but he's damn slow now while Brian Westbrook is like lightning.  Speaking of lightning...or thunder and lightning...what happened to the 1st round draft pick Heisman trophy winner Ron Dayne.  He's on the practice squad now!  What a joke!  :hehe:  

bah :hmmm:  the Giants suck now. My friend Dan and I are making a plan. We'll sneak into Fassel's house when he's sleeping and play a recording of plays we think he should use(we're convinced we are better playcallers than him) we're going to put magnets in the football and slice open Tiki Barber's hand (while anesthezing it while he's asleep) and put another magnet with opposite poles in so he won't fumble. And we're just going to shoot Kerry Collins cuz he's so inconsistant and there's no hope for him. At least he's better than Carter tho.

My friend is a huge Giants fan, naturally...since I live in NJ.  He just wants the Giants to lose the rest of their games so they can get a good draft pick.  Probably someone like Ron Dayne again, LOL.  Anyway, ya know what's really really cool.  We have the whole NFC East rivalry going on in here.  NS33 likes the Skins.  I like the Eagles.  pdj32000 likes the Cowboys.  And Red_Baron likes the Giants.  We should place bets or something...although I guess the Giants and Redskins fans are out of it.  :P

All I can say is that a few more draft picks like Dayne, and the Giants will really be in the gutter of the division!  LOL  (This coming from a Packers fan who's team has the same record as Cincinnati).  :rolleyes:  

nope. Redskins are worse. Besides since the Dayne pick, the Giants have picked Shockey and cornerback Will Allen in the 1st round and both are Pro Bowlers :P

Lord Lanair...you are now my new favorite person in the history of the world.  You knocked Jesus outta the top place.  Well, maybe not.  Jesus is still tops but you're in a close second.  I wouldn't be the least bit upset if I saw on the news that Shockey got hit by a truck.  I was pretty discouraged when I learned that his current injury didn't end his season.  That pig-faced jackass.  How dare he talk crap about he Eagles secondary!

Yes, despite Philadelphia not playing...today was a good day to be an Eagles fan.  Don't worry about it though.  They'll lose to Carolina on Sunday and Dallas will be back on top.  It's all about that head-to-head game between the Eagles and Cowboys coming up.  That's the one that really counts.

Red Baron, you should be banned from this website, or maybe even banned from life itself, just for being a Giants fan.  You deserve a lot of credit for being able to stick with your team, but they're absolutely horrendous.  Green Bay has the Cheesehead hats.  Philadelphia came out with Cheesesteak hats.  I even saw Buffalo fans wearing Buffalo wing hats when they were playing the Jets.  The only thing suitable to the Giants would be $hithead hats.  I big, round terd on the top of the head of each Giant fan.  That is the true representation of their team.

I hate when people have to live in the past.  It's all about what's happening today my friend.  I really don't care what happened with the Eagles many years ago.  They made it to the conference championship the last two years and they're doing damn well this year.

Haha.  I actually don't have anything against any of the players on the Giants with the exception of that pig-faced asshole Jeremy Shockey.  Believe it or not, the Giants are one of my favorite teams.  They ARE still my home team ya know.  It's just that with them in the Eagles division I'm forced to hope they lose.  Collins, Barber, Toomer, Hilliard... maybe not Strahan... I like all those guys.

But... they do have a winning record, and lead their division.  :rolleyes:  

Eagles might actually make it. Baltimore, on the other hand is a different story. Division leaders, yet only in wildcard contention. That's kinda sad, LOL

No, the four division leaders from each conference automatically make the playoffs.  Aside from those 8 there are the two teams from each conference with the next best records and these are the 4 wildcard teams.  Right now Baltimore is ahead of the Bengals by 1 game in the division.

yeah i agree wit you Thamior, i can't stand Shockey. Strahan is ok, cuz he used to live in my old town and i met him a few times before. He's pretty nice, but he can come off as a whiner sometimes, but overall he's cool.

What's the point in that?  If we all liked the Giants it would be boring as hell for all of us to just comment on how awesome they are.  That's a lot of the reason I like being an Eagles fan, although it's not the reason I became one.  It's fun to have a good rivalry with the fans of other teams.

Eagles vs Cowboys... its a new rivalry developing...

especially since the favorite teams(besides Lanair's <_< ) are from the same division the NFC East and all have probably the longest histories in rivalies

well it wouldn't hurt to get O-line but i'd love to get Jason White. Palmer is ineffective, specially after that horrible Saints game, and Collins is getting older and throwing way too many pics. but O-line is the way to go, either that or shore up their secondary

I say Eagles are gonna clinch, but there's no way they're gonna actually make it through the post season. Too many injuries, the team isnt what it has been the past years.  :blink:

aaaaaaaaaaaand Fassel got fired. He really didn't deserve it, cuz the Giants quit on him a while ago, but the frontrunners for the job are Tom Couglhin, Nick Saban, some assistant coach on the Giants, and an assistant coach named Charlie Weis

I think the move was more for the sake of change than it was for Fassel's coaching abilities.  When their offense was doing shitty (last year I think) and Fassel fired the offensive coordinator and took over the spot himself, the Giants starting scoring and everyone thought he was the greatest coach in the world.  His players start (or continue) to play like shit and they fire the guy.  It's really not fair.

They should just fire the entire team- it's hopeless!  The Giants just can't suceed with the people they have now! :P  True, Fassel didn't have the best guys, so I guess he was made into a scapegoat.  LOL    

You know what figures...I'd really like the Giants to beat the Cowboys this weekend since it would benefit the Eagles, but the Giants are playing without Collins and Shockey.  As much as I hate Shockey and hope his career comes to an end, the Giants don't stand a chance without those two.

Well if it's any consolation to you if the Eagles were to lose I wanted the Packers to go all the way.  Brett Favre is a great quarterback and after everything that's happened to him I would have liked to see Green Bay win it all.  Not to mention the fact that the Panthers, Patriots, and Colts disgust me.

Well before the playoffs even started my friends asked me how I thought the Eagles would do.  I said they'd lose in the NFC Championship for the third straight year...so I wouldn't doubt that they'll lose.  You never know with football.

I have to cheer for Carolina as well.  I hate when teams hog the Lombardi Trophy like the Pats are about to do.  Carolina doesn't have a chance in hell.  The Eagles played the worst game I've ever seen.  They had tons of chances and blew them all.  Receivers don't get open...Quarterbacks force passes...that's how interceptions happen.  I put blame on both.  At least Freddie Mitchell came to play.  As soon as McNabb went out I knew all chances of a miracle were out the window.  Who ever heard of Koy Detmer making a miraculous comeback?  At least there's always next year when the Eagles lose in the NFC Championship again.
