I had convinced someone to join TGA, but then they read the manifesto on HybridChill.  Their reply was:


Which is a great pity as he was a very good Elf player going it alone.  I've also had a similar response from someone else I'd previously convinced, so I'm sure that it's the reason for other people turning away as well.  But that's what TGA stands for, so I don't really see what we can do about it.

Perhaps attacking orcs only should be more a guideline rather than a rule.  I mean i don't stick to it, because i get attacked by Humans, Dwarves and Elfs so i feel i have a right to take from them aswell.

You are allowed to attack people back that have attacked you, regardless of race. >.> They just have to attack first. Then you can farm freely.

Hmmm, that's a point - it should be made more clear that retalliations are permitted.

Um... isn't that kinda obvious?  You can attack people who attacked you.  :huh:

It wouldn't be bad to stress it, I guess.  

Well yeah, but I guess some people might think we'll forgive people that aren't orcs, or something. :miffed:

heh as a dwarf i just hate orcs. i never attacked a non orc yet.

I agree w/ Hornet.  Also Lanair is right b/c I thought it was *just* orcs.  BUT SS did say that one thime that you could attack evil people...

what happens if there are no orcs to attack? then you just sit around?

i just attack orcs...except for the people that attack me that i find to be good farms :devil:

There's always Orcs to attack. :P

Or you provoke someone else to attack you first.  :D

This Is IronDragonSLayer63 or as my new commander nows me Alpha_Orc_Slayer_  I just wanted to mention that the attack Orcs only except in retaliation rule is the best thing the TGA has going for it. We are in a class by ourselves not compromising and standing against the Evil Horde. So I would never want that to change. Now you must understand I delete my IronDragonSlayer63 account that I took a month to go from birth to 31000's rating at it 's high point and I will do the same with this username (that is rise trought the ranks at the expense of The Evil Hordes Blood). So I hope to be welcomed into the TGA soon.

everything went pissy ever since the KOC admins made us get rid of the !stats, that ws our attack list sort of..., and the click list too... :unsure:  

I think the main problem w/ recruiting is that people just don't care anymore.  I definitely think that the only orcs attacking thing is really beneficial if we had a larger alliance.  I mean you wouldn't have the mistake of attacking another alliance member b/c you're not allowed to initiate attacks unless otherwise specified (remember when we kind of did a mass on Striker or something and SS said it said we could battle "evil" too ;P)

So long as the Evil is clear and not just a "ooh, lets call him evil so we can smite him" type thing.
LS was completely unfair towards his loyal clan members, so he was considered a valid target.

hey i got a quesiton : where do you guys click if you don't have a clicklist?

We do have a click list but it is not extremely active, however we sign ourselves up to the LoP recruiter.  When you are in the alliance i will send you the link, just remind me when you get in.

maybe we should shorten the requirement time to get accepted.  I think a week is too long maybe like 3 or 4 days, but then they would still have to get the same amount of posts.

Yeah, a week is quite a long time now. It was fine when we started, but does seem to drag a bit now.

It depends on when I can get Smi's attention...I'll talk to him now.

we could also bug SS to do it...since i believe smi is off studying :(

yea I messaged Smi and he was presumably doing homework.

like i said, stab SS with a hot brand and maybe he'll do something! :D

It's the only reason why I didn't join.

Though now I wouldn't join anyway, at least until Age 3 Beta is over.  They'll have to convince me somehow that KOC is more worthwhile than Utopia (swirve). :)

There are many things more worthwhile than KoC.  LOL

BTW- what's utopia?  :unsure:

it's an online game that's got alot more stuff than KoC that i played once but became inactive shortly after in :)

It seemed overly complex and annoying when I looked at it.

I find it to be very fun.  More complicated than KOC, yes, but it's not overly complicated.  It seems so when you first join, but once you see how it all works, you'll find that it's really pretty simple.

The best thing about it is that it's designed such that you need only log in once or twice a day; logging in more often is generally not going to help you much, and you get benefits if you stay logged out for longer times.

Well I think its because KoC admins suck.

I would like to point out I used to log in 2-3 times a day untill they made me start typing my email. Then IW as like F that and stoped playing

Oh and it is because KoC admins suck; a comparison with the DT admins shows how much activity can be done...

DT is good.  I just need help getting money ;)
 

If you use IE then you can use auto-complete.  I never have to type in user names.
