Before I go drown myself with happiness, I ought to clarify one thing:
Dating simulation games != H-games

Just that when you're dating a girl, a frequent and logical next(final) step is... you know... marriage, for the sake of it.

Case in point, pretty much all official GBA releases of dating simulation games, in particular Pia Carrot 3.3 that came out recently(Japanese, mind you), do not contain adult-only scenes or anything of the sort, although their counterparts do. (Pia Carrot the anime do contain sex scenes)

Much harder to find recent dating simulation games that are purely for the dating aspect.

YAY! I got my hands on the Clannad DVD from Key Cheesy
Rumored to be purely dating simulation, and I can't wait to see how it's like.

Clannad's a Japanese dating sim that's only been released a few days ago...
And considering the size of it(a full DVD worth, and I mean 2gig's worth in DVD image), it has no chance of seeing the English-speaking communities...
You can still try downloading the thing from emule n stuff, the question is how are you going to understand it...

Honestly, I think non-voiced dating sims are dull, yeah...
But I've played voiced dating sims that seriously twisted my mind before, so I'm giving anything a try.

Off-topic(in my own thread) in the sense that this preview trailer is for an arcade-style combat game, but since it's based on a dating sim, who cares.

I hope this thing is uploaded right.
Melty Blood Re-Act Trailer
Great 2-D arcade-style game for PC. (Demo has been out already, and I've played the full version of the game that this sequel came after, Melty Blood.)
Scheduled for release on 5/30 Smiley

neither was i.
until i ran into Melty Blood.
the sprites could have used more work (too pixelly), but other than that i love the BGM, the voices, sound effects, the fighting system, and the background graphics.

taking bit of effort switching between the original and Re-Act(same producer and all except the programming part.  and so the commands/keys/combinations also are slightly different for the two)

a 9 out of 10, would be 10 / 10 if the sprites were better.

I forget the code but you could make it so you could move them no matter what they were doing. and you could move the invisible portals where people arrive in the screen.
